The Blood Moon Rises Tweaks & Fixes | July 8th

![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/6249a9ba7cd0f0990e032e22d847c0056c7d0684.png) *This week's update brings the first round of post-launch tweaks and fixes for The Blood Moon Rises, alongside a handful of improvements to the Trouver System!* Changelog - July 8th [expand type=details expanded=false] ### The Blood Moon Rises Tweaks & Fixes **Maggot King Changes ** - Fixed an issue where ammunition fired at the Maggot King could drop in an inaccessible area of the boss's lair. It will now drop in the player arena. - Improved the visual distinction between the Maggot King's projectile attacks and floor hazards. - Added Elite Clue Scrolls to the Maggot King's drop table. - Improved the Maggot King's regular drop table by replacing some lower-value rewards with more valuable alternatives. - The Maggot King now places harvested loot directly into your inventory instead of dropping it on the ground. - The Aranei Scout outside Castle Drakan can now use coins from Death's Coffer or your bank when retrieving gravestones. ** Weapon Changes ** - Following on from the feedback we mentioned last week, we've updated the Crimson kisten's standard attack animation. After seeing that some players enjoyed the original animation and felt it gave the weapon more character, we've kept it in for the Stab attack style. Other attack styles now use heavier animation, while the Special Attack retains its full ground-smash effect to remain visually distinct. - The Crimson kisten is now correctly classified as a spiked weapon, and its special attack now now correctly rolls against an npcs crush defence. - Increased the Ranged Defence of Vyrewatch sentinels and Venators to better balance Blisterwood stakes against other Blisterwood weapons. - These should now be positioned as still a strong and viable option, depending on your gear, but no longer significantly better than the melee alternatives. - The Sunspear now gains 25% increased accuracy (up from 0) and 50% increased damage (up from 25%) against Vampyres. - Fixed an issue where Seeker Arrows provided their +20 Ranged Attack bonus regardless of the weapon equipped; this bonus now only applies when using bows. ** Vampyrium & Skilling Changes ** - Stymphikes now drop 15 Feathers instead of 5. - Dire Bats can no longer be lured to the Bank in Sangvesti. - Venator drops now appear in the Slayer section of the Collection Log. - Improved Venator drop tables, increasing the drop rates of Venator teeth and fangs while reducing the frequency of less valuable drops. - Increased the chance of receiving a Blood sac from cutting Leechfin by around 20%. - Leechfin now grant 33.2 Fishing XP per catch (up from 31.5), while cutting them into Blood sacs now grants 20 Cooking XP per cut (up from 2). - Our goal here is for highly active training methods to feel appropriately rewarding relative to other top-end skilling options. We felt Leechfin fell a little short of that, so we've given it a modest boost to better reflect the effort involved. - The Angler's outfit now correctly increases Fishing XP when catching Leechfin. - Removed the one-click Fletch option from Sap-treated Logs to remove the unintended impact on tick manipulation methods, as discussed in last week's [Known Issues & Feedback blog](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fsecure.runescape.com%2Fm%3Dnews%2Fthe-blood-moon-rises---known-issues--fixes%3Foldschool%3Dtrue). - The alchemy value of Makeshift spears has been adjusted. - The Tarnished bracelet is no longer labelled as a necklace. ** Quest Fixes** - Players who completed the quest with a full inventory can now claim a free Sunspear from Efaritay. - Reduced the number of misleading trees in the Softa Forest encounter to make the section quicker to navigate. - Fixed a bug where you could not take an axe from the log stumps if you had a Zombie Axe or Battleaxe on your character or in your inventory. - Lowered the defence slightly of Venators encountered in Castle Drakan during the quest. - Maxilla Beasts can no longer be defeated using recoil damage. - Locked doors on the Castle Drakan map now display tooltips indicating which key is required. - Fixed a rare issue where Drakan could become stuck after his interlude attacks. - Fixed visual issues affecting the bridge cutscene. - The unlock hint for *Lord of the Larvae* has been corrected. ### Trouver System Tweaks - Fixed an issue where trouver-protected Ancient sceptres could be lost on PvP death. - We're aiming to restore any Ancient Sceptres with Trouver protection that were lost as a result of this bug back to affected players today. - Void Knight Gloves can now be applied a Trouver Parchment via Perdu. - They will continue to function the same as the other Trouvered items. - Storage containers like the Seed Box or Fish Barrel (and all their variants) won't be lost on death in the Wilderness. - Equipped items that become mangled and are kept on death will no longer remain worn. Instead, they will now go to your Inventory. - Items kept on death that become mangled will now be moved to your inventory instead of remaining equipped. ### Other Changes - Spelling mistakes have been corrected in the Crafting skill guide, The Blood Moon Rises quest and Vampyrium-related content. - The special attack description tooltip for the Rosewood blowpipe has been corrected. - Fixed a bug where Cave Goblins could walk in the wrong direction in Dorgesh-Kaan. - Fixed a bug where Nylocas waves could disappear at higher levels. - Fixed a bug with aggro ranges in TzHaar Fight Pits. ### PvP Rota The PvP rota has moved to **Period B **: - 560 - (UK) - PvP World - 319 - (US) - Bounty Hunter World - 579 - (US) - High-Risk PvP World - 561 - (UK) - Free-to-Play PvP World - 580 - (US) - LMS Competitive World 390 (AUS) for LMS Competitive has been ** de-activated ** with this rota. World 569 (AUS) for Bounty Hunter has been ** de-activated ** with this rota. The PvP Arena is using **'1 Def Pure' ** loadouts in Ranked Duels and Tournaments this week. [/expand] Thank You Before we jump into this week's fixes and tweaks, we just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who's played The Blood Moon Rises so far. Over the past week, it's been incredible watching so many of you experience the finale to the Myreque storyline for the first time. From seeing your reactions to the cutscenes and story reveals, to watching streams full of players slowly piecing together puzzles, we've loved following your journey through Vampyrium. One of the biggest highlights for the team has been watching players take on Lowerniel Drakan. Seeing so many of you refuse to give up, gradually master the mechanics, celebrate hard-earned victories, and then encourage others to stick with it has been so special. Where fixes need a little more time, we'd rather make sure we're getting them right than push anything out half-baked. If you'd like to follow along with our progress between game updates, you can always check our [Known Issues & Feedback blog](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fsecure.runescape.com%2Fm%3Dnews%2Fthe-blood-moon-rises---known-issues--fixes%3Foldschool%3Dtrue) for the latest. For now, here are some of the priorities we're still working through: ### Seeker Arrow Conversion Last week, we mentioned that we were looking at improving how existing arrows are converted into Seeker arrows. While we originally hoped to have this ready for this update, we've decided to spend a little more time on it. As we worked through the implementation, we found an approach that we think is much cleaner and more intuitive than simply increasing the current conversion rate. Rather than rushing that out, we'd prefer to get it right. Our recommendation remains the same: if you're planning on making Seeker arrows, we'd suggest holding onto your buckets of Bloodwood sap for now so you can get the most out of them once the new system is ready. We'll share more details once we've finalised the implementation, and we're aiming to have one out and ready as soon as possible. ### Maggot King Death Fees We've seen feedback that the Maggot King's death fees can feel a little punishing while you're learning the encounter. To help with this, we're planning on introducing reduced item recovery fees at 25% of the usual cost while you're getting to grips with the fight. Rather than limiting this to brand-new players, everyone's next five Maggot King kills after this update will qualify for these reduced death fees, regardless of how many kills they've already completed. ### Bloodwood Trees ![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/1ad09a906b8f5598f8ef04253a9deda972f29fed.png) *If you can't see the image above, click [here](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.runescape.com%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Fexternal%2Foldschool%2F2026%2FNewsposts%2F2026-06-3X%2Ftree.jpg)!* We've seen a lot of feedback around Bloodwood Trees, and it's clear we missed the mark here. Many of you expected them to offer a lower-intensity, more AFK Woodcutting method based on our earlier blogs. In their current state, they don't deliver on that expectation, and that's on us. Rather than rushing out a quick fix, we're taking a little more time to make sure the solution properly delivers on what we originally intended. Our current goal is to have these improvements ready for next week's update, if all goes to plan. Just to reassure those of you who are enjoying the current method: we're not looking to replace or significantly change existing gameplay here. Instead, the plan is to introduce a more AFK alternative alongside the current method, giving players the choice between a higher-intensity approach and a more relaxed one. ### Venators Alongside today's improvements to the Venator drop table, we'll continue keeping a close eye on Blood shard acquisition before deciding whether any further adjustments are needed. One thing we've seen become clearer over the last few days is the role of Superior Venators. As more players have discovered, these have a 1 in 5 chance of dropping a Blood Shard, making them a significant part of the intended reward loop and overall acquisition rate for the activity. Now that more players are engaging with Superiors and the wider Venator gameplay loop, we'd like to let things settle a little before deciding whether any further changes to Blood Shard rates are necessary. Trouver System Tweaks We're picking up where we left off with the [Trouver System Rework](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fsecure.runescape.com%2Fm%3Dnews%2Fa%3D13%2Fbank-tags-trouver-system-rework--more%3Foldschool%3D1%23Trouver)! First of all, we'd like to note that the last blog post may have been a bit confusing. This is because we always aim to provide as much information as possible so you have the full picture. However, in this case, that level of detail made a straightforward system seem more complicated than it is. Essentially, the TLDR for the adjusted Trouver parchment system is: If there's potential for an untradeable item that isn't easily re-obtainable to be lost on death, you will be notified when attempting to enter the Wilderness. Otherwise, it is safe to assume that you will keep that item protected on death. That's all you really need to keep in mind! Everything else in the blog is simply additional detail for those who want a deeper understanding of how the system works. And you can see the list of high-tier items [here](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fsecure.runescape.com%2Fm%3Dnews%2Fa%3D13%2Fbank-tags-trouver-system-rework--more%3Foldschool%3D1%23Trouver). This also means the change that didn't make into that week's game update is now here: Attempting to enter the Wilderness with any untradeable item that requires a Trouver Parchment to be protected will now display a warning to make sure you're aware that you're risking an untradeable. ### Update on the Ancient Sceptres with Trouver Protection Previously, we've [let you know](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fx.com%2FOldSchoolRS%2Fstatus%2F2069069681625890874) that the team are working to fix the bug where Ancient Sceptres with Trouver Parchment protection were being lost to deaths in the Wilderness. We've now resolved this issue. Ancient Sceptres protected by a Trouver Parchment will no longer be lost to PvP deaths. As a high-tier item with Trouver Parchment applied, it will be kept upon PvP death, and you'll be able to repair it with the required cost. We're aiming to restore any Ancient Sceptres with Trouver protection that were lost as a result of this bug back to affected players today. Apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience while we worked to resolve this. ### Unique Item Behaviour - Void Knight Gloves can now be applied a Trouver Parchment via Perdu. - They will continue to function the same as the other Trouvered items. - Storage containers like the Seed Box or Fish Barrel (and all their variants) won't be lost on death in the Wilderness. We also have an additional Trouver system-related fix: - Equipped items that become mangled and are kept on death will no longer remain worn. Instead, they will now go to your Inventory. Merch ## Makeship ![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/8c8511a106440972be7bd93794324db1942a3ff9.png) *If you can't see the image above, click [here](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.runescape.com%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Fexternal%2Foldschool%2F2026%2FNewsposts%2F2026-07-08%2Fjumbo.jpg)!* Some of Gielinor’s most iconic bosses have traded combat for cuddles! If you'd rather hold down that space bar and get it done as fast as possible, fair enough. We'll judge you a little bit, but we won't stop you. That said, if you're the kind of person who really wants to immerse themselves in this epic conclusion to the Myreque story, we have a few recommended settings for you that we think will help you get the most enjoyment out of things: - Master Volume - 100% - Music Volume - 20% or more - Sound Effects Volume - 45% or more - Area Sounds Volume - 25% or more - Music Mode - Area - View Distance - 50 or more A quick note for RuneLite users: - The Blood Moon Rises makes heavy use of visual layering and depth effects, particularly throughout Vampyrium. - For the best experience, we recommend using the standard GPU plugin. Players using the Legacy GPU plugin may encounter visual issues, so we’d recommend switching over before stepping beyond the veil! ## Vampyrium: Before You Enter At some point during your adventure, you'll find yourself travelling to the hostile land of Vampyrium. The intended experience is to complete your Quest journey through Vampyrium without interruption, so there are a few things to keep in mind before you step beyond the veil: - If you die in Vampyrium, you’ll respawn there with all your items, but these deaths are **not safe **, so ** Hardcore status will be lost**. - Everything you need to survive can be found within Vampyrium, including consumable supplies. - Bank withdrawals aren't available, but depositing is. - It’s still worth preparing before you leave, but grit, perseverance, and careful play will matter more than good gear. - You can teleport out of Vampyrium at any time, and if you leave, the story will continue right from where you left off. Once you've completed the quest, You'll earn the following rewards:[expand type=details expanded=false] - A new Spec Weapon - An Upgraded Flail (obtained during the quest) - Six XP tomes, each granting 30K XP to a skill of your choice, level 70 or above. - 4 Quest Points - You'll also be able to return to Vampyrium and engage in its unique skilling activities [/expand]And finally, a little reminder for all.The Blood Moon Rises is expected to be challenging. We've really tried to do something different here, and while we're not expecting this to be a huge difficulty jump over existing Grandmaster quests, difficulty can often be subjective. You will ultimately face formidable combat challenges where perseverance will be the key to victory. For many of you attempting this on release, it may well feel like a step up from Desert Treasure II, especially in your initial attempts while you learn the new mechanics. We'd like to see how you fare in this epic conclusion before rushing to make changes, but rest assured, we'll be closely monitoring your feedback and will make changes where necessary. A Personal Note From Mod Ed #Discussions_QuoteBlock_Author “So much of the media we enjoy today has been created in the hopes that it will continue on forever. With us celebrating 25 years, the RuneScape franchise itself is quite possibly one of the finest examples of that. And yet, there's very much a downside to this. The work is never done, and it's so rare now to experience a true ending. This is why it's so important to us that The Blood Moon Rises be just that. While there will always be more stories to tell in the land of Morytania, today marks the definitive end of the Myreque storyline. Old School is a game where you are always free to enjoy it as you desire. That will never change. If questing isn't for you and you simply wish to get this out of the way as fast as possible, that's something we'll always respect. That said, before you dive in, consider this: While it's true that there's nothing like going back and re-watching your favourite film or re-reading your favourite book, the truth is that it will never hit like it did the first time you experienced it. And so, when you come to play this quest, even if it's not your usual play style, consider slowing things down, turning up your music, and immersing yourself in a finale over 20 years in the making. If it turns out to not be for you, that's no problem, but if you don't give it a chance, you may well find yourself missing out, for you will only ever get one opportunity to experience this quest for the first time. With all that said, however you choose to experience The Blood Moon Rises and the land of Vampyrium, it has been the highest honour for myself and the team to finally bring this story to a close. We hope you enjoy it.” Vampyrium Skilling Watch Mod Ed's Vampyrium adventure [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUQf-GHCYLE)!Vampyrium’s horrors do not fade when the story ends. First, you’ll need to gather bait in the form of Letvek, which can be found roaming Vampyrium and captured using box traps. This first stage requires 76 Hunter and is the more active part of the hunt, giving you a way to build up your bait supply before turning your eyes to the skies. ![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/04d903228f2249af4e9731e367d782cd8aeeeeb2.gif) *If you can't see the image above, click [here](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.runescape.com%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Fexternal%2Foldschool%2F2026%2FNewsposts%2F2026-05-29%2Fletvik654.gif)!*Once you have Letvek in hand, you can begin hunting Stymphikes. This second stage requires 82 Hunter, along with a supply of Letvek and a nearby makeshift spear that's sharp enough to bring a Stymphike down. To begin, bait a Stymphike tree with a Letvek, then hide in a nearby bush and wait. While hidden, you’ll receive small amounts of Hunter XP as you keep watch from cover. After a short time, a Stymphike will descend to investigate the bait. ![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/bd65c0b2dd54d45d84aa670874087cb7e4605e1d.gif) *If you can't see the image above, click [here](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.runescape.com%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Fexternal%2Foldschool%2F2026%2FNewsposts%2F2026-06-3X%2Fstymphikehide.gif)!*Once the Stymphike lands, you can spear it yourself for a larger chunk of Hunter XP, or, if you’d rather take a more relaxed approach, remain hidden and let your character make the attempt automatically after a short delay. ![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/f91e991c2f06bc6af93a7b29b243bd63639fbac8.gif) *If you can't see the image above, click [here](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.runescape.com%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Fexternal%2Foldschool%2F2026%2FNewsposts%2F2026-06-3X%2Fstymphike_land.gif)!*For main accounts, Letvek can also be purchased from the Grand Exchange, letting you skip straight to the Stymphike-luring stage if you’d rather focus on the steadier, lower-attention part of the activity. ## Leechfin Fishing Beneath Vampyrium’s crimson waters, the Leechfin gather, perfectly adapted to a bloody realm where even the rivers run red. ![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/082c6868c38ebafeb11b135dbc1a2d3ed241fadb.gif) *If you can't see the image above, click [here](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.runescape.com%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Fexternal%2Foldschool%2F2026%2FNewsposts%2F2026-06-3X%2Fleechfin.gif)!*Leechfin Fishing requires 72 Fishing and offers a more active way to train the skill without relying on tick manipulation. From the outset, you can choose whether to focus on stronger Fishing XP, or trade some of that XP for a steadier supply of Blood vials. This activity uses a Big net and plays similarly to the Fishing activity found in the Perilous Moons. Once you begin, Leechfin will swim downstream in waves. You’ll need to align your net with the incoming fish, reacting to their movement as they pass through the river. ![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/3108447f5fa46343cfeaecc8a22fc7fa41b65270.gif) *If you can't see the image above, click [here](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.runescape.com%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Fexternal%2Foldschool%2F2026%2FNewsposts%2F2026-06-3X%2Fleechfincatch.gif)!*If you’re focused purely on Fishing XP, you can keep catching Leechfin and continue the activity for stronger rates. Leechfin themselves are untradeable, cannot be cooked, eaten, or stored in a Fish barrel, so you’ll want to manage your inventory as you fish. Alternatively, you can cut Leechfin with a knife to gather Blood sacs, earning a small amount of Cooking XP in the process. Blood sacks are untradeable but can be squeezed into empty vials to create Blood vials, and you’ll need 50 Blood sacs to fill one vial. The Leechfin will be coming in pretty thick and fast, so while 50 might sound like a lot, it shouldn't take too long to stack up! ![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/a55f43d4609f72a4232758429c89a750bbe0c6cf.png) *If you can't see the image above, click [here](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.runescape.com%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Fexternal%2Foldschool%2F2026%2FNewsposts%2F2026-06-3X%2FSacs.jpg)!*This gives the activity two clear paths: - Stay focused on catching fish and dropping for better Fishing XP - Spend time cutting Leechfin for Blood sacs and Vials of blood at the cost of lower XP. If you step away for too long, the activity will end automatically, so keep your eyes on the river. Vampyrium’s waters are generous, but they’re not patient... ## Bloodwood Woodcutting Amid Vampyrium’s crimson forests stand the Bloodwood trees, their bark split with a potent red sap that seeps beneath the realm’s eternal night. ![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/1ad09a906b8f5598f8ef04253a9deda972f29fed.png) *If you can't see the image above, click [here](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.runescape.com%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Fexternal%2Foldschool%2F2026%2FNewsposts%2F2026-06-3X%2Ftree.jpg)!*Harvesting these trees requires 77** ** Woodcutting and offers a new way to train the skill while gathering one of Vampyrium’s most valuable resources: Bloodwood sap. This activity is intentionally designed around a spectrum of engagement, similar in spirit to systems such as Oathplate smelting. You can approach Bloodwood Trees in a relatively low-intensity, semi-AFK way, or opt into a more click-intensive style that rewards focus and effort.Once gathered, this untradeable sap can be used to treat eligible Logs, arrows, or Arrow shafts before fletching them into Seeker arrows (more on that below) with a sharper, more reliable bite... ### A Note On XP & PvM Interactions **XP Rates ** If you followed our earlier blogs, you may notice that this version of Bloodwood Woodcutting offers significantly higher XP rates under certain conditions of high-intensity play than originally discussed. While the original proposal outlined rates of roughly****80-90k XP/hr through more active play, the activity released today can compete with top-end methods under highly optimised play. As development continued, the activity evolved across the entire engagement spectrum, with the biggest changes coming at the higher-intensity end. Through iteration and playtesting, the mechanics became deeper and more involved than our initial proposal. As that happened, we felt the XP rewards needed to evolve alongside the activity, rather than remain locked to rates first outlined in the overview blog.At the same time, this also aligned with a wider shift in player feeling around XP rates and skilling metas in general, particularly regarding methods involving tick manipulation. We've heard plenty of feedback over the past year that activities requiring greater attention and execution should feel appropriately rewarding, and we wanted Bloodwood trees to reflect that philosophy. As with all new content, we'll be watching how this plays out at launch and looking at both Bloodwood sap production and how this activity fits within the wider Woodcutting meta. If the balance isn't where folks would like it to be, we'll make the necessary adjustments together as we go. ** PvM Interactions**Our earlier blogs also mentioned that certain PvM encounters in Vampyrium could support Bloodwood sap production. However, during development, we explored several implementations but ultimately ran into the same problem each time. Either the PvM rewards were so small that they didn't feel worthwhile, or they became valuable enough that they undermined Bloodwood Woodcutting as the primary way of obtaining sap, and we couldn't find a middle ground that achieved what we wanted. Instead, at launch, Bloodwood Trees will remain the primary source of Bloodwood Sap, making higher-intensity Bloodwood Woodcutting even more rewarding for players who choose to engage with it. We'll continue monitoring how Bloodwood sap enters the game after release, and if additional sources are needed in future, we'll discuss those with you before making changes. Finally, we appreciate that both of these changes differ from what was originally outlined in our [Overview blog](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fsecure.runescape.com%2Fm%3Dnews%2Fthe-blood-moon-rises---overview-%3Foldschool%3D1). We should have communicated those changes more clearly before launch, rather than leaving players to discover them on release day, and that's on us. We'll do better to call out significant design changes like these in future, and we'll continue listening to your feedback as Blood Moon Rises settles in. ## Venator Slayer Among Vampyrium’s deadliest inhabitants are the Venators - vampyric pack beasts bred for blood sport and relentless pursuit. ![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/472b38841dcd926862c9b414414f7b73873d8f56.gif) *If you can't see the image above, click [here](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.runescape.com%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Fexternal%2Foldschool%2F2026%2FNewsposts%2F2026-06-3X%2FVenatorrun.gif)!*Venators require 74 Slayer and offer a new way to approach Vampyre Slayer tasks. When assigned to slay Vampyres, you can now choose to seek out these vicious beasts in Vampyrium instead, for a slightly more dangerous, active take on the task. ![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/0fcedb5d1802efaaadde4a6e1784caf8319068e6.gif) *If you can't see the image above, click [here](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.runescape.com%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Fexternal%2Foldschool%2F2026%2FNewsposts%2F2026-06-3X%2FVenatorAttack.gif)!*These encounters are primarily single-combat and lean more towards rewards than Slayer XP, with a higher-intensity fight than standard Vampyres. Although more attention will be required, you'll be rewarded with a slightly higher rate of Blood shards in exchange. Venators also drop tarnished equipment and jewellery, which can be polished with 60 Crafting for Crafting XP and a random item of the same type.Slayer tasks remain the main way to hunt Venators, but they aren’t the only way. The arena will grow increasingly dangerous, and you’ll need to manage the boss, its hazards, and the things crawling out of the filth if you want to survive.A few things to know before you enter: - The Maggot King can be assigned as a Slayer boss task, but it does not count toward any traditional Slayer tasks (e.g. Vampyres). - A scoreboard outside the arena tracks personal and global kill counts, deaths, and best times. ![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/54f068632a6ed566f460048a185de7ac0db95e67.gif) *If you can't see the image above, click [here](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.runescape.com%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Fexternal%2Foldschool%2F2026%2FNewsposts%2F2026-06-3X%2Fmkboi2.gif)!*Those who manage to bring down the Maggot King will have a chance to earn new rewards, including the Crimson kisten, a powerful crush-focused Special Attack weapon, and the Elder venator fang (*previously referred to as Alpha venator tooth*) - a key component used to create the Necklace of Rupture for a best-in-slot Ranged amulet upgrade. There’s also a new pet to chase! This mirrors how Dragon claws calculate their own damage cap, helping the Crimson kisten stay devastating where Crush matters without invalidating existing Special Attack options elsewhere. If you’re looking to tear through Vampyrium’s horrors with something suitably vicious, this one belongs at the top of your list. ![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/e2f2d68ee22c7a41ff4a03b63bc5262596c414a5.gif) *If you can't see the image above, click [here](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.runescape.com%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Fexternal%2Foldschool%2F2026%2FNewsposts%2F2026-06-3X%2Fkistenloco.gif)!* ## Rewards: Necklace of Rupture The Necklace of Rupture is a direct upgrade to the Necklace of Anguish, offering a new best-in-slot option for Ranged setups. ![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/9b40f336382ae89dcf14d6ac8dc13071a0737fe1.jpg) *If you can't see the image above, click [here](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.runescape.com%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Fexternal%2Foldschool%2F2026%2FNewsposts%2F2026-02-17%2Fnor.jpg)!* ![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/84ff1d3fddbd279caa461eb177db4ba2abe1e88f.png) *If you can't see the image above, click [here](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.runescape.com%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Fexternal%2Foldschool%2F2026%2FNewsposts%2F2026-06-3X%2Fmas.jpg)!*To create it, you’ll first need to obtain an untradeable Elder venator fang from the Maggot King. From there, the process mirrors other high-end jewellery upgrades: - Obtain an untradeable Elder venator fang from the Maggot King. - Etch the tooth with 84 Crafting to create a tradeable Etched elder venator fang. - Combine it with a Necklace of Anguish, requiring 84 Crafting. ![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/8503c9ebfcd84347418c443c73de4955811743ec.png) *If you can't see the image above, click [here](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.runescape.com%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Fexternal%2Foldschool%2F2026%2FNewsposts%2F2026-06-3X%2Fnecmake.jpg)!*This extra crafting step keeps high Crafting levels relevant while avoiding the need to sacrifice additional Zenyte jewellery just to trade or store the upgrade. ## Skilling Reward: Seeker Arrows Seeker arrows sit at the heart of Vampyrium’s skilling rewards, but rather than introducing a brand-new arrow tier, Seeker arrows act as an upgrade layer. They enhance standard arrows, letting your existing ammunition remain relevant while giving it a Vampyrium-forged edge. When applied, Seeker arrows provide: - +20 Ranged Accuracy - A minimum hit of 3, raising your minimum damage from 1 to 3 We’d also like to clarify how the minimum hit works with this one, as damage is rolled and calculated as normal, and only then raised to 3 if it would have been lower. Seeker arrows can still miss, but successful hits won’t land as 1s or 2s. For the Venator bow, this minimum hit applies to every bounce, meaning each hitsplat generated by the bow will have a minimum hit of 3. ![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/c49223992d28c613da364d4faa35081c007fa6bd.jpg) *If you can't see the image above, click [here](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.runescape.com%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Fexternal%2Foldschool%2F2026%2FNewsposts%2F2026-02-17%2Fseeker.jpg)!*To create Seeker arrows, you’ll first need Buckets of bloodwood sap gathered from Bloodwood trees. From here, you have two options: - Create Seeker arrows from scratch by treating logs with Buckets of bloodwood sap, then fletching the Sap-treated logs into Seeking arrow shafts. - The higher the tier of log used here, the more Seeking arrow shafts are supplied. For example, applying Sap to a Redwood log will yield 105 Seeking arrow shafts when cut, whereas a treated Oak log only provides 30. - Finally, add feathers to create Seeking headless arrows and attach your chosen arrow tips to finish the arrows. OR - Apply Bloodwood sap to existing arrows, Headless arrows, or Arrow shafts to convert them directly into their respective Seeker arrow versions, in batches of 15 per bucket of Sap (same as the rate of standard logs). A few extra things to note: - Seeker arrows work with any standard arrow types from Bronze - Dragon arrows, including Broad arrows, but cannot be applied to poisoned arrows or fire arrows. - Seeker arrows are tradeable once completed, but Seeking arrow shafts and Seeking headless arrows are untradeable. - Sap-treated logs cannot be burned. Our teams remain as dedicated as ever to tackling cheaters, scammers, and spammers to ensure a fair playing field for all. As a result of these ongoing efforts, we're seeing an overall decline in rule-breaking activity. We're also seeing that the average account age and average account level of bots are decreasing, indicating that longer-standing and higher-level bots are being detected and removed from the game. Thanks for all the reports and support you send our way - it really does make a difference!Additionally, we’ve had a few reports of some players being phished out of their accounts. As always, bad actors are always cooking up new tricks. We've heard of a new few ones including fake P-Mod application forms asking for login details and illegitimate Jagex Launcher downloads hosted on other websites. This is a quick reminder to stay safe out there and think twice before entering sensitive details or downloading anything advertised as relative to RuneScape. There are no P-Mod Application forms, and anything you download for RuneScape must be a subdomain of [http://jagex.com/](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fjagex.com%2F) or [http://runescape.com/](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=http%3A%2F%2Frunescape.com%2F) to be considered safe. Always download anything directly through our website or Launcher – nowhere else. Some rules we always recommend: - Don't click suspicious links or download unknown files. - Jagex will never ask for your password or verification codes via email or messages. Never give away credentials that could be used to access your account. - Use your browser's phishing filters. You can find out more about phishing on our **[Support Centre](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fsupport.runescape.com%2Fhc%2Fen-gb%2Farticles%2F115001257125-Phishing) **. A Note from Us We want to thank everyone for their feedback following the recent OSRS logo update across the game clients. While we revisit our approach to logo consistency across our platforms, we've opted to revert to an earlier version of the OSRS logo with the banner attached for players using RuneLite, as the banner plays an important role in recognisability for anyone coming to Old School for the first time. We'd like to spend some time working with you to refine how we might tackle this again in the future. Mobile & Official Client We've been investigating the reported performance issues on mobile, where the game sometimes feels less responsive despite the in-game FPS counter showing expected performance. For a little more info on what happened, one of our updates in June included a large backend update to the core engine. As part of that, it appears we inadvertently added roughly one extra frame of input lag. At higher frame rates this is less noticeable, as at 60fps a single frame is 16.67ms (or 0.01667 seconds), however, at lower frame rates or with any dips, this can become far more pronounced, making the game feel laggier than the frame rate would otherwise suggest. We're almost ready to put out a fix that should address this. We're also still working on some extra diagnostic options to let you try different configurations for a future client update. This will help us gather more information from a wider range of devices and set ups, if needed. Please keep sharing your experience, especially if you're able to capture the issue on video, as it really helps us continue the investigation. We're hopeful this update will release this week, however it is still in testing phase as we want to ensure there's no unexpected hiccups when it comes to our newest content - The Blood Moon Rises! However, we can share a peek at what the upcoming changelog will be:** Android ** - Restored Bluetooth Mouse left click/right click behavior. - Fixed an issue with split screen windows. - Fixed an issue resulting in a black screen after reopening the app once backgrounded. ** General** - Fixed an input issue causing a laggy feel. - Fixed a crash that could occur during login. - Fixed an issue where tile highlights did not appear in some areas. - Fixed an issue where NPC Tag would be lost after relogging. - Fixed an issue where relogging didn't always bring up the sign in page. Thanks so much for your patience while we work through this! Bank Tags, Trouver System Rework & More! | June 17th

![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/50cf586fea5dd6590c24aad05ad37ca6b1fac8de.gif) *We've got a jam-packed game update this week: Bank Tags for mobile and the Official Client, Leagues VI rewards tweaks, new Slayer unlocks for Frost Dragons, Trouver System Rework and more!* Heads up: As we prepare for the launch of Blood Moon Rises on June 30th, there will be **no game update ** next Wednesday, June 24th. See you on June 30th, for the rise of the Blood Moon! Changelog - June 17th [expand type=details expanded=false] ** Bank Tags ** Bank Tags for mobile and the Official Client are here! - You can create up to 20 Bank Tags. - To create a Bank Tag: - Select the lil' + button in the top-left corner of your Bank - Give your tag a title in the chat box that opens - Next you'll get a search box where you can select an item to represent your tag as an icon - Drag and drop an item from your main bank to your tag icon on the left to fill your tag - To swap into your tag-view, simply select the icon and it'll pull up your tag. Tap or click it again to switch back to the bank. - You can move your items around into any order you like, including leaving gaps or whole lines between items if you like. - You can also duplicate tags by selecting duplicate from the minimenu, or if you're using a keyboard and mouse, you can hold shift while you drag an item and it'll spawn a new one. - Unfortunately for you rare item collectors this only duplicates the tag not the item! You've still got to grind for those T-bows! - Read more details in its dedicated section further down the blog. ** Leagues VI Rewards Tweaks ** - Made the head of Soulreaper Axe (o) larger, more befitting for its mighty makeover. - The Demonic Pacts Throne Scroll no longer has a Construction level requirement to apply to a Demonic Throne. - Equipping the two-handed League VI trophies and the Storm cruiser's coat will no longer form a tail behind you. - The uncharged Toxic Trident (e) (o) has been made darker to make it more visually distinct from the Trident of the Swamp (e) (o). Also, the icons for the Trident of the Seas (o) has been rotated to match its non-ornamented version. - Ornamenting the Trident of the Swamp, Trident of the Seas and Iban Staff now works in both ways: either by using the staves on their respective ornament kits, or by using the kits on the staves. - The examine texts of Leagues VI trophies have been updated to reflect the extended end date of the Leagues. - Not Demonic Pacts related, but still Leagues-related: Falo the Bard will now accept the Trailblazer Reloaded variant of the Infernal Axe (or) for his clue step asking for an Infernal Axe. ** Sailing Improvements ** - Added two new Slayer unlocks to Frost Dragons: - ** Chance of Heavy Frost**: This unlock allows you to increase the *weighting *of Frost Dragon tasks from 5 to **8 ** on both Nieve and Duradel, making it more likely to receive these as tasks. - ** I See Dragon**: This second unlock allows you to increase the *task length* of Frost Dragon Tasks, so you can keep slaying them for longer. Once this is unlocked, you'll be assigned between **180 to 240 ** Frost Dragons on both Nieve and Duradel. - These unlocks cost ** 100 Slayer Points ** each. Also, both of these unlocks can be disabled without a refund, should you prefer to. - Bounty Task & Other Sailing Changes: - Adjusted Bounty Tasks to ensure that their rewards better reflect participation. - Players with multiple Bounty Tasks will also no longer receive multiple bounty item rolls from a single kill. - Fixed a bug causing Veiled Kraken to give off-task rates while on a Bounty Task for the Dragon Cannon Barrel. - Adjusted market values of several Sailing uniques to better align them with their current Grand Exchange prices. - If you loot sea creatures while operating a cannon, you will no longer have to re-engage with the cannon. This means you'll now continue firing the cannon automatically after looting nearby sea creatures. - If you are already overhealed from a Haddock and have between 100 and 108 Hitpoints, eating another Haddock will now correctly restore your Hitpoints to 109. ** Trouver System Rework** - To reduce the chances of players losing crucial untradeables in the Wilderness, we've applied the following changes: - Untradeables with *no* Combat benefits should never be lost on death, - Untradeables with *some* Combat bonuses should break and need repairing without a Trouver parchment, - Untradeables with *strong* Combat bonuses should need to be 'Trouvered' once, then never again. - Untradeable items that previously didn't 'break', for example the Graceful set, will **no longer be lost ** on death above Level 20 Wilderness. - Untradeable items that previously broke will continue to break whether below or above level 20 Wilderness, but will no longer be lost. You'll continue to receive their 'broken' version and can repair them at Perdu for a small fee. Visit its dedicated section to see the items in this category. - 'Higher tier' untradeables will continue to use the Trouver Parchment system, but with a crucial change: ** once a Trouver parchment has been used on an item, it will remain in that state forever **, the parchment will not be lost on death. - On death ** below Level 20 Wilderness ** (or in PvP Worlds for fights at the Grand Exchange, for example), these higher tier items will simply break and be repairable with the current fee. - On death ** above Level 20 Wilderness **, the item will become 'mangled' and require a higher fee of 500,000 GP to fix. - You can still use the item on Perdu to remove the Trouver Parchment, should you wish to. Note that if you do not add a Trouver parchment to your 'higher tier' items, they will continue to be lost above 20 Wilderness. - In cases where items are kitted using things like Ornament kits, the usual behaviour will occur and whoever kills you should receive the Ornament kit used, provided the Ornament kit is tradeable. For example, on death above Level 20 Wilderness, Dragon Defender (t) will break but it won't be lost, and the Dragon Defender Ornament Kit will go to the PKer. - Though it didn't make it into this game update, there is one additional change we're working on: attempting to enter the Wilderness with any untradeable item that requires a Trouver Parchment to be protected will display a warning to make sure you're aware that you're risking an untradeable. ** Last Man Standing Changes ** - Added Dragon Crossbow and Opal Dragon Bolts (e) to the Max/Med loadout, and removed Rune Crossbow and Diamond Bolts (e). - If you have the "Automatically smash empty vials" setting disabled, you will now keep the vials in your Inventory once a potion is fully consumed in Last Man Standing. - Adjusted the default preset for players who have never played Last Man Standing before to have 3 Saradomin brews, 2 Sanfew serums and 10 sharks. - Replaced the Berserker ring with the Berserker ring (i) in the starter kit for all builds. - Set the default spellbook to Ancient Magicks if the player is brand new to the Last Man Standing gear setup. - Zuriel's staff in Last Man Standing is now able to autocast Ancient Magicks spells as well. - Added the Oathplate helm into the "Max/Med defensive" loot pool. - Replaced the Dragon dagger with Dragon claws in the "Max/Med" starter kit. - If sharks are dropped on the floor because the Inventory was entirely full, the sharks received when refilling your Inventory after a kill will stay on the floor only for 1 minute, as opposed to 10. Additionally, we've also got a change for Emir's Arena: - Added Ancient warriors' weapons to the list of items that can be used at Emir's Arena. ** Other Changes ** - Herb patches in Weiss and Trollheim now display what herb they contain. - The hitbox on Huasca herbs now matches that of other herbs. - Adjusted the Portal Nexus interface to make teleport options easier to read. - The Blue Moon spear's special attack tooltip now refers to the Blue Moon set by its correct name. - Fixed a bug where if a player used the special attack of Vesta's Spear (bh) and then switched weapons, ranged damage wasn't being blocked. Now, both melee and ranged damage are blocked regardless of whether or not the player has Vesta's Spear (bh) equipped after using its special attack. We have also changed Vesta's Spear (Deadman Mode) to have the same functionality. - Level-up messages will no longer list the same spell multiple times when it is available through more than one spell book. - The Bottomless Milk Bucket now works with the Zanaris Dairy Cow. - On C++ client, if you have an active clue and the Clue Helper setting is on, the music player will now automatically scroll to the track you need to play for Cecilia. Additionally, we've fixed various Z-buffer related graphical issues: - The shadows of Penance Queen and its pet no longer flicker. - Various NPC models across Gielinor (such as Prince Ali, Philippa, Watson, Freaky Forester etc) no longer have clipping issues. - In Stronghold of Security, dropped items no longer clip into the ground. - Bandos Godsword no longer clips with the table. - Resolved flickering issues with the Hallowed Sepulchre pillars, Emir's Arena and Clan Wars portals, the entrances of Waterbirth Island Dungeon and Lovakengj Minecart Network. - Guardians of the Rift statues and Prifddinas Agility Course Portal no longer flicker with the terrain. - Dropped bones no longer clip with the carpets at Keep La Faye. - Resolved flickering and clipping issues at the Kourend Castle Tower, Varrock bank roof, the snow-covered mountain within Stranglewood, Elemental Workshop Mind Chamber, Myths' Guild, the caves visited during the Recipe of Disaster quest and more. - Fixed various clipping issues caused by intersecting levels and floors across Gielinor - for instance, Red Axe Caves. - Fixed various clipping issues that occur when objects are on top of each other, such as pages on top of the crates in Red Axe Caves. - The feet of player characters no longer clip into the floor at the Agility Pyramid, the Arceuus Library, the basement of the Varrock Museum, grounds outside the southern entrance of Varrock, Lumbridge Castle kitchen and Shayzien Encampment wooden kits. - The feet of birds in Tel Teklan no longer clip into surfaces. - Fur rugs in the Ardougne Marketplace no longer phase into the ground. - The QR code tiles in Shayzien are once again visible. ** PvP Rota ** The PvP rota has moved to ** Period A **: - 539 - (US) - PvP World - 318 - (UK) - Bounty Hunter World - 548 - (Germany) - High-Risk PvP World - 577 - (US) - Free-to-Play PvP World - 559 - (UK) - LMS Competitive World 390 (AUS) for LMS Competitive has been ** activated ** with this rota. World 569 (AUS) for Bounty Hunter has been ** activated ** with this rota. The PvP Arena is using **'1 Def Pure'** loadouts in Ranked Duels and Tournaments this week. [/expand] Bank Tags ## Bank Tags for mobile and the Official Client are here! ![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/71d08a9863952d1a9a949d4eaf28c7ae029d9cf8.gif) *If you can't see the gif above, click [here](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.runescape.com%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Fexternal%2Foldschool%2F2026%2FNewsposts%2F2026-05-29%2FBankTags2.gif)!* Pre-plan your gear, lay out your pots and food for easy access and be ready to take on whatever content you're heading to next. Before using the Bank Tags, make sure you have the mobile app and the Official Client updated to the latest version. And if you have used Bank Tags before updating, you will need to delete all Bank Tags using the functionality provided. ## Creating Bank Tags *Watch how to create a bank tag [here](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.runescape.com%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Fexternal%2Foldschool%2F2026%2FNewsposts%2F2026-06-17%2Fbanktags.mp4)!* Creating a Bank Tag is super simple. You'll now find a little + button in the top-left corner of your Bank. Selecting this will open up a chat box where you can give your tag a title. Our usual chat filters apply here, and you can use up to 25 alphanumeric characters. Following your feedback from the Summer Campfire, we've increased the total tags you can create to 20. Hopefully this feels like more breathing room to cover all your bases. Next you'll get a search box where you can select an item to represent your tag as an icon. You can use pretty much any item in the game, both tradeable and untradeable. Then, it's time to fill your tag! It's as easy as dragging and dropping an item from your main bank to your tag icon on the left. It'll drop in there ready for you to organise your layout. To swap into your tag-view, simply select the icon and it'll pull up your tag. Tap or click it again to switch back to the bank. You can move your items around into any order you like, including leaving gaps or whole lines between items if you like. You can also duplicate tags by selecting duplicate from the minimenu, or if you're using a keyboard and mouse, you can hold shift while you drag an item and it'll spawn a new one! Unfortunately for you rare item collectors this only duplicates the tag not the item, you've still got to grind for those T-bows! ![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/e01b3d80b75b397fae5faf0e129451be0936d296.jpg) *If you can't see the image above, click [here](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.runescape.com%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Fexternal%2Foldschool%2F2026%2FNewsposts%2F2026-06-17%2Fmanifesting.jpg)!* Removing an item from a tag is as easy as selecting "remove from tag" from the minimenu. You can delete the whole tag by opening the tag's minimenu and selecting "delete tag". You'll get a warning message first so there's no accidental misclicks! You can also drag your tags up and down the list so your favourite or current activity tags are right at your fingertips. It's pretty much as easy as that! You will see a few more or a few less tags depending on whether you have the incinerator active, Potion Storage and/or Group Ironman Storage. We've popped a couple of screenshots below so you know what to expect. ![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/52790f48f85862c3c12fa4432a6a74651849afac.png) *If you can't see the image above, click [here](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.runescape.com%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Fexternal%2Foldschool%2F2026%2FNewsposts%2F2026-06-17%2Ftags1.png)!* ## Get Inspired Want to get stuck in to Bank Tags but unsure of what would make for a useful layout or collection? So, here are our answers all rounded up into one spot, and we'll keep this updated as we see more coming through. **How do Bank Tags interact with Potion Storage? ** Right now, they act as two different entities. So if you want to make a tag with any potions, or to withdraw then via your tag, you'll need to make sure they're in your bank-proper, as opposed to the storage. ** Will these tags affect any Bank Tags I have in approved third-party clients? ** Nope! This system is only being implemented on our C++ client and mobile, meaning any approved third-party client tags will be completely unaffected. ** Will tags interfere with my main bank at all?** No, whatever happens in a tag, stays in a tag! So you won't see any movement or separation in your main bank. Obviously any withdrawals will affect both, as the tag is merely a representation of your item. ## Known Issues - There is a known issue of duplicate icons appearing when searching for a suitable Bank Tag icon, we will resolve this in a future update. If you do come across any issues not listed here, please drop us a message on Reddit or Discord in the Official Client section! ## Wrapping up We're so excited to get Bank Tags in your hands! We'll be keeping up with feedback so make sure you share your thoughts. Leagues VI Rewards Tweaks The Leagues Rewards Shop opened last week, allowing you to spend your hard-earned League Points and get those sweet shiny rewards. If you missed it, you can purchase the Leagues VI: Demonic Pacts rewards from the Leagues Tutor, who can be found in the grounds of the Lumbridge Castle. With the rewards being unlocked, many of you pointed out that the ornamented Soulreaper Axe with the Demonic Axe kit wasn't quite living up to the legendary presence of Yama's axe. We've taken that feedback to heart and made the head of Soulreaper Axe (o) larger, better reflecting its mighty makeover. ![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/d1d83954a0c74ad9690c83344e32fad02fdf1916.png) *If you can't see the image above, click [here](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.runescape.com%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Fexternal%2Foldschool%2F2026%2FNewsposts%2F2026-06-17%2Fsrao.png)!* Besides the above adjustment, we've got a few more changes related to the League rewards: - The Demonic Pacts Throne Scroll no longer has a Construction level requirement to apply to a Demonic Throne. - The uncharged Toxic Trident (e) (o) has been made darker to make it more visually distinct from the Trident of the Swamp (e) (o). Also, the icons for the Trident of the Seas (o) have been rotated to match its non-ornamented version. - Equipping the two-handed League VI trophies and the Storm cruiser's coat will no longer form a tail behind you. Although it's not Demonic Pacts related, we have Leagues-related bug fix that we'd like to mention: Falo the Bard will now accept the Trailblazer Reloaded variant of the Infernal Axe (or) for his clue step "A fiery axe of great inferno, when you use it, you'll wonder where the logs go." We're also aware of your feedback regarding the additional 1,000 Slayer Points to unlock the Leagues VI associated Slayer Helmet. The team are actively discussing your feedback and we'll share an update as soon as we have more information. ## Leagues VI Survey It's time to look back on your experience with this League! Take our post-Leagues VI survey and share your thoughts. We'll take a look at the results and use your feedback to help us shape future Leagues! Complete the [survey here ](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fsurvey.alchemer.eu%2Fs3%2F91136988%2FLeagues-VI-Survey-2026) and help us learn more about your experience. Sailing Improvements ## New Slayer Unlocks for Frost Dragons The proposed Slayer unlocks from our [Sailing buffs blog](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fsecure.runescape.com%2Fm%3Dnews%2Fsailing-update-buffs-changes--more%3Foldschool%3D1) are now here! We've added two new Slayer unlocks to Frost Dragons: - **Chance of Heavy Frost**: This unlock allows you to increase the *weighting *of Frost Dragon tasks from 5 to **8 ** on both Nieve and Duradel, making it more likely to receive these as tasks. - ** I See Dragon**: This second unlock allows you to increase the *task length* of Frost Dragon Tasks, so you can keep slaying them for longer. Once this is unlocked, you'll be assigned between **180 to 240** Frost Dragons on both Nieve and Duradel. [ ![Patch notes image](https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/39707052/51210394842647e3b53f20cf9c992ef084761d28.png) *If you can't see the image above, click here!*These unlocks cost **100 Slayer Points** each. Also, both of these unlocks can be disabled without a refund, should you prefer to. ## Bounty Task Changes We'll be making some adjustments to Bounty Tasks to ensure that their rewards better reflect participation.First, the chance of receiving rewards and unique drops from bounty creatures will now scale based on your contribution towards killing the creature. Players who contribute more damage towards a kill will have a greater chance of receiving these rewards, while players who contribute less will have a proportionally lower chance. This change applies to unique drops from: - Great White Sharks - Armoured Krakens - Vampyre Krakens - Veiled Krakens - Orcas - Narwhals Players with multiple Bounty Tasks will also no longer receive multiple Bounty item rolls from a single kill. Players can only progress one Bounty Task at a time, but having multiple tasks will allow players to extend their trips for longer. We've also fixed a bug causing Veiled Kraken to give off-task rates while on a Bounty Task for the Dragon Cannon Barrel. ## Other Sailing Changes Last but not least, we're adjusting the market values of several Sailing uniques to better align them with their current Grand Exchange prices. This is to ensure they work with existing systems that rely on an item's market value, such as Death's Coffer. The item value adjustment change will affect: - Large Dragon Keel Parts - Dragon Keel Parts - Dragon Metal Sheets - Bottled Storms - Inky Paint - Broken Dragon Hooks - Dragon Cannon Barrel Please note, these changes won't affect their Grand Exchange prices.Additional Sailing improvements: - If you loot sea creatures while operating a cannon, you will no longer have to re-engage with the cannon. This means you'll now continue firing the cannon automatically after looting nearby sea creatures. - If you are already overhealed from a Haddock and have between 100 and 108 Hitpoints, eating another Haddock will now correctly restore your Hitpoints to 109. Trouver System Rework We're bringing you the proposed changes to the Trouver System from this blog back in April. For those who don't know what 'Trouver' means, you can check out the blog for a detailed explanation. In a nutshell, a Trouver parchment allows you to "lock" your untradeable items by using them on Perdu, preventing them from being lost on PvP death. However, once you've died, the Trouver parchment would be lost. It's easy to forget to re-lock your untradeables after dying, which can result in permanently losing them the next time you're PKed.To reduce the chances of players losing crucial untradeables in the Wilderness, we've applied the following changes. The general rule of thumb here is: - Untradeables with *no* Combat benefits should never be lost on death, - Untradeables with *some* Combat bonuses should break and need repairing without a Trouver parchment, - Untradeables with *strong* Combat bonuses should need to be 'Trouvered' once, then never again. First, untradeable items that previously didn't 'break', for example the Graceful set, will **no longer be lost ** on death above Level 20 Wilderness. [url]This applies to any untradeable item that isn't found on this list.](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.runescape.com%2Fassets%2Fimg%2Fexternal%2Foldschool%2F2026%2FNewsposts%2F2026-06-17%2Funlock.png) Second, untradeable items that previously broke will continue to break whether below or above level 20 Wilderness, but will no longer be lost. You'll continue to receive their 'broken' version and can repair them at Perdu for a small fee. The items in this category are: [expand type=details expanded=false] - Fire cape - Imbued guthix cape - Imbued saradomin cape - Imbued zamorak cape - Fire max cape - Imbued guthix max cape - Imbued saradomin max cape - Imbued zamorak max cape - Ava's assembler - Masori assembler - Assembler max cape - Masori assembler max cape - Bronze defender - Iron defender - Steel defender - Black defender - Mithril defender - Adamant defender - Rune defender - Dragon defender - Avernic defender - Barronite mace - Void knight mace - Decorative armour (gold) - Decorative magic armour - Decorative ranged armour - Guthix halo - Saradomin halo - Zamorak halo - Armadyl halo - Bandos halo - Seren halo - Ancient halo - Brassica halo - Fighter hat - Ranger hat - Healer hat - Runner hat - Penance skirt [/expand] Third, 'higher tier' untradeables will continue to use the Trouver Parchment system, but with a crucial change: ** once a Trouver parchment has been used on an item, it will remain in that state forever **, the parchment will not be lost on death. - On death ** below Level 20 Wilderness ** (or in PvP Worlds for fights at the Grand Exchange, for example), these higher tier items will simply break and be repairable with the current fee. - On death ** above Level 20 Wilderness**, the item will become 'mangled' and require a higher fee of 500,000 GP to fix. - You can still use the item on Perdu to remove the Trouver Parchment, should you wish to. Note that if you do not add a Trouver parchment to your 'higher tier' items, they will continue to be lost above 20 Wilderness. For clarity, these 'higher tier' items are as follows: - Void melee helm - Void mage helm - Void ranger helm - Void knight top - Elite void top - Void knight robe - Elite void robe - Void knight gloves - Void melee helm (or) - Void ranger helm (or) - Void mage helm (or) - Elite Void robe (or) - Elite Void top (or) - Void Knight Gloves (or) - Void Knight robe (or) - Void Knight top (or) - Infernal max cape - Infernal cape - Blood ancient sceptre - Ice ancient sceptre - Smoke ancient sceptre - Shadow ancient sceptre - Fighter torso - Fighter Torso (or) - Rune pouch - Divine rune pouch - Dizana's quiver - Blessed dizana's quiver - Dizana's max cape This means fixing your untradeables should be fast, all at once, and with no need for extra Trouver Parchments. Lastly, in cases where items are kitted using things like Ornament kits, the usual behaviour will occur and whoever kills you should receive the Ornament kit used, provided the Ornament kit is tradeable. For example, on death above Level 20 Wilderness, Dragon Defender (t) will break but it won't be lost, and the Dragon Defender Ornament Kit will go to the PKer. Though it didn't make it into this game update, there is one additional change we'd like to make: attempting to enter the Wilderness with any untradeable item that requires a Trouver Parchment to be protected will display a warning to make sure you're aware that you're risking an untradeable. This is being worked on, and you can rest assured that it will make it into the game soon. Last Man Standing Changes - Added Dragon Crossbow and Opal Dragon Bolts (e) to the Max/Med loadout, and removed Rune Crossbow and Diamond Bolts (e). Other Changes - Herb patches in Weiss and Trollheim now display what herb they contain. - Dropped items no longer clip through carpets.
