Changelog: Radiant Wilds Patch 3

*This patch brings important changes to the Mists, a new Navigation System, and Alternate Spell Casting, along with further controller improvements, fixes, and combat balance changes.* ### Season 32 Winner Statues Unveiled Statues have been erected in Conqueror’s Hall to mark the winners of Season 32: Heralds of Valhalla, Outlimits, and Chiliz. Congratulations to the triumphant guilds! ### Mists Changes Due to past changes and the broadening of content available in Albion, the Mists haven’t been meeting our expectations as a solo and duo environment with rewards appropriate to the risks involved. This lack of rewards has also caused a decline in player-type diversity, with high-end PvP players representing a larger share of the overall player pool. This has increased the level of danger in the Mists and driven more low-end players away. Our intention is to increase the player pool by offering better rewards, making the Mists an attractive option for average players again, while hopefully bolstering participation from all player types and addressing other issues caused by low population, such as the predictability of finding other players. - Value of all chests and boss rewards has increased significantly - Damage, armor and health of mobs have been reduced to match the values they had prior to the Horizons update - Given the frequency of PvP in the Mists, players were often left in compromised positions and discouraged from engaging with PvE in the first place. By restoring their previous values, we hope that Camps will once again become a competitive PvE objective for a wider range of builds - Matchmaking adjusted to encourage greater randomization while maintaining healthy population levels - This makes it considerably more difficult to intentionally meet up with other players in the Mists - Increased the spawn frequency of Treasure Chests and Crystal Spiders to provide more valuable objectives outside of Camps, reducing pressure on Camp locations - While Crystal Spiders will briefly disappear during Season 33, the mobs that replace them will have these higher spawn rates until Crystal Spiders return for Season 34 - The spawn frequency of Fey Dragons, Griffins, and Veilweavers in Enchanted Mists has been doubled - As Mists participation has decreased over time, the Artifacts required to craft Fey Armor have become more expensive. While we hope the other changes in this patch help increase participation, higher spawn rates should also contribute to reducing the cost of those Artifacts In addition to these changes, the entrance to Brecilien can no longer be found in unenchanted Lethal Mists, as it provided an exit from the Outlands that was too safe and reliable. It can still be found in enchanted Lethal Mists. We’ll be monitoring all of these changes closely and will make further adjustments if necessary. ### The Depths Changes The Depths have been going strong for a year now, and while they are still performing well, we regularly receive feedback that Fame rewards are too high when entering with fewer players than intended. To further reward groups, we’ve increased the base Fame provided in the Depths by 10% while reducing the amount of Fame players receive when playing with fewer than the maximum group size. This most notably affects solo players in Trio mode, but also has a smaller impact on solo players in Duo mode and duo players in Trio mode. ### Seven Day Event: Through Mist and Smoke To showcase the changes to the Mists and to celebrate the Depths’ one-year anniversary, we’ll be running a unique event for the next seven days! Until maintenance on July 6, players will receive 25% extra Fame and Loot in both the Mists and the Depths. ### Player Navigation A new navigation system has been added to help players quickly find their way across Albion. Players can now create navigation routes to regions, party members, and even their most recent death location. - Navigation routes highlight the exits needed to reach the destination on both the Minimap and Region Map. - Routes automatically update if players leave the suggested path - Navigation is only available within the same continent and is not supported in the Roads of Avalon - Active navigation routes are listed in the HUD Tracker - Navigation routes to regions can be personal or shared with party members - Navigation routes to regions started by the party leader are automatically shared with the group - Only the party leader may end the Party Navigation - If both Personal and Party Navigation routes are active, players can choose which one to follow from the HUD Tracker - Alternatively, players can type */nav useparty* in chat to activate the Party Navigation route, and* /nav usepersonal* to switch back to Personal Navigation - The following chat commands have been added: - */nav map “[Region name]”*: navigate to a specific region - */nav party [PlayerName]*: navigate to a party member - */nav death*: navigate to your most recent death location - */nav end*: end the current navigation route - Optional arguments: - *safe*: avoids lethal zones (disabled by default) - *cd*: considers shortcuts through Static Dungeons (disabled by default) - Example: */nav map "Fort Sterling" safe *sets a navigation route to Fort Sterling that avoids Red Zones - Navigation can also be initiated from several UIs: - To a region: - From the target Region Map via the new navigation button on the right - To a party member: - By selecting a player from the party member list and opening their Player Menu - To your last death location: - The previous Death Recap entry in the Player Menu has been renamed ‘Last Death’ and now includes options to open the Death Recap or navigate to your last death location ### Avalonian Dungeons Due to the changes in Realm Divided Patch 3, Avalonian Dungeons have been outputting significantly more Silver than intended. They currently contribute a large portion of the game’s overall Silver generation despite having a much lower share of overall playtime and a significantly lower rate of lethal PvP conflict. While we do want to continue to reward features that encourage grouping and socialization, this feature is currently outcompeting higher risk content and its current reward levels are unsustainable for the overall game economy. For now, we have reduced the output of all chests in Avalonian Dungeons. We will continue to keep an eye on this feature, as a larger rework may be necessary in the future to make certain that the feature meets all of its goals in terms of challenge as well as risk vs reward. ### Alternate Spell Casting A new ‘Alternate Spell Casting’ setting allows players to combine different casting modes for the same ability, such as using Quick Cast for fast reactions and Normal Cast for precise targeting. - Players can now assign a secondary casting mode to separate keybinds for individual abilities - This includes separate alternate cast keybinds for weapon, armor, shoe, and potion abilities - Casting modes can be selected in the Mouse Controls settings - This option is currently not available for controllers ### Guild Season Changes - A special Keeper Uprising Guild Challenge will replace Crystal Creatures for this season, offering new ways to earn Season Points - The Legacy Avatar Set reward pool now includes avatars from Season 30 While Guild Seasons have remained largely unchanged recently, we have begun to introduce more significant adjustments and intend to continue evolving the system further so that seasons feel distinct and don’t become stale over time. These changes for Season 33 are expected to have a significant impact on the Outlands, and we will closely monitor their effects and make further adjustments if necessary. For more details, see this forum post: [https://forum.albiononline.com/index.php/Thread/223209](https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fforum.albiononline.com%2Findex.php%2FThread%2F223209) - Territory Season Point generation has been redistributed to reduce the advantage of high-quality territories and increase the value of lower-quality territories: - Quality 1: 40 → 60 - Quality 2: 60 → 75 - Quality 3: 80 → 90 - Quality 4: 120 → 110 - Quality 5: 180 → 130 - Quality 6: 240 → 160 - Territory Control Costs have been adjusted to support contesting a wider range of Territories: - Quality 1: 4 → 3 - Quality 2: 3 → 3 - Quality 3: 3 → 2 - Quality 4: 2 → 2 - Quality 5: 2 → 2 - Quality 6: 1 → 2 - Territory Cost Penalties have been adjusted to apply earlier and scale more consistently: - Silver and Fame penalties now apply immediately once the initial penalty threshold is exceeded - Initial Penalty Threshold: 15 → 20 - Siphoned Energy drain remains 3% per cost above the threshold - Fame and Silver penalties remain 1% per cost above the threshold - Territory raids now destroy more Siphoned Energy, making concentrated resource storage riskier: - 20% → 33% - Hideout durability has been increased: - Phase 1 Health: 15,000 → 20,000 - Phase 2 Health: 25,000 → 40,000 ### Controller Improvements - Added Minimap actions to the Radial Menu, allowing players to hide the Minimap or adjust its zoom - Added direct D-pad navigation in two-column UIs between category lists and their contents - Crafting and Item Details UIs can now be repositioned freely - Added mouse support for the Game Menu - Inventory UI and Game Menu now remain open when switching between controller and mouse & keyboard input - Browsing through the equipment list in the Armory now automatically previews builds - Farm object placement now automatically snaps to the next valid space within the same plot ### Other Changes - Caerleon-flagged players now receive Faction Points and Standing from captured regions, even after leaving them - Guild lists no longer automatically reorder or scroll while being viewed - Added manual refresh button to update guild member list sorting - Improved options for dynamically switching HUD Layouts based on the currently active input method - Reduced accidental item dragging when Shift-clicking while looting - Added confirmation popup when kicking a player from a guild - Increased Disarray priority so it appears before other effects in the Status Effects list - [MOBILE] ‘Show Targeting Line and Range’ is now enabled by default - This option can be disabled in the General section under Controls Settings ### Combat Balance Changes **Bows** *The Speed Shot rework felt somewhat underwhelming, so we’ve doubled down by turning it into a recast ability, enabling another movement speed boost and first-slot ability reset in exchange for lower initial damage.* - Speed Shot (all Bows) - Range: 13m → 15m - Damage: 66.54 → 25 - Added: Can be recast once within 4s (increasing the cooldown to 15s) **Crossbows** *Arclight Blasters have had their damage reduced significantly, as Flickershots could deal too much burst when spammed repeatedly.* - Flickershots (Arclight Blasters) - Damage: 94 → 81 **Daggers** *Ghost Strike has been given a longer cooldown to preserve its burst potential. Casting with three stacks still resets the full cooldown, but its escape and brawling potential when cast without three stacks has been reduced.* - Ghost Strike (Deathgivers) - Cooldown: 20s → 25s **Frost Staffs** *Freezing Wind has regained its previous behavior of rooting targets instantly. To support this, its slow effect has been removed, and its delayed damage upon root has been rolled into the instant damage.* - Freezing Wind (Frost Staff) - No longer slows - Root is now applied instantly - Instant Damage: 150 → 200 **Holy Staffs** *Holy Beam was available too frequently for the amount of single-target healing it provided, resulting in fights where it felt like you couldn’t make progress on your enemies’ health bars before the next beam was ready. Its cooldown has therefore been increased.* - Holy Beam (all Holy Staffs) - Cooldown: 10s → 12s *Holy Explosion’s knockback has been normalized to function more consistently as a peel tool, even when the caster is wearing Cloth Armor.* - Holy Explosion (Great Holy Staff) - Knockback distance no longer scales with CC duration - Knockback distance is no longer reduced by enemy CC resistance - Knockback distance: 15m → 10m **Nature Staffs** *Breeze’s cooldown has been significantly reduced to improve the reliability of sustained healing-over-time and raise the floor for Nature Staff’s group healing potential.* - Rejuvenating Breeze (all Nature Staffs) - Cooldown: 20s → 15s **Quarterstaffs** *Hurricane has continued to struggle to gain play rate. Its cooldown scaling has therefore been flattened to make Iron-clad perform more consistently across Item Power levels, while its Energy cost has also been changed to a percentage-based value, to discourage using lower-tier items to reduce it.* - Hurricane (Iron-clad Staff) - Base cooldown: 38 → 29 - Cooldown reduction per 100 IP: 1s → 0.5s - 700 IP: 31s → 25.5s - 1800 IP: 20s (unchanged) - 2200 IP: 16s → 18s - Energy cost: 14 → 10% (relative to max) **Swords** *A true king leads from the front. Kingmaker has gained a new effect to reward the bold, increasing the fighting power of nearby allies upon landing a finishing blow.* - Majestic Smash (Kingmaker) - Added: Dealing the finishing blow on a player increases the damage of all allies within 11m by 20% for 5s **War Gloves** *Ravenstrikes have struggled to find a space in the meta. Their self-slow has therefore been reduced significantly to make them feel less clunky when not paired with a sprint.* - Earth Crusher (Ravenstrike Cestus) - Self-slow: 40% → 25% **Armors** *Judicator Armor’s healing bonus has allowed users to benefit too much from healing while wearing Plate Armor. Its bonus has therefore been reduced.* - Force Shield (Judicator Armor) - Healing received bonus: 30% → 25% **Potions** *Berserk Potion’s defensive penalty no longer becomes harsher with higher potion tier; all tiers now share the Tier 4 potion value.* - Berserk Potion - All tiers of Berserk Potion now apply -10% defense (rather than dropping to -20%) ### Fixes **Spell Fixes ** - Cleanse Heal (all Nature Staffs): Fixed issue where CC effects and debuffs would not be cleansed correctly - Spider’s Thread (Duskweaver Helmet): Fixed issue where dash would not work on targets immune to slows - Tear Open (Bloodmoon Staff): Fixed issue where targets immune to debuffs would not receive damage - Rotten Ground (Cultist Sandals): Fixed issue where it could not be cleansed, but could be removed by damage removal effects ** UI Fixes ** - Fixed issue where the Death Recap and respawn UI would not appear if a player was executed while a resurrection confirmation popup was active ** Controller Fixes ** - Fixed issue where pressing Esc would open and lock the Game Menu instead of switching to mouse & keyboard input - Fixed issue where the ‘Connection problem?’ popup prevented character movement - Fixed issue where the off-hand slot in the Inventory UI would appear empty while using a two-handed weapon - Fixed issue where closing the Radial Menu could remove the current target lock - [MOBILE] Fixed issue where settings could not be reset - [XBOX] Fixed issue where having multiple controllers connected could cause some interactions to stop working ** Other Fixes** - Fixed issue where Mist Cloud (Mistwalker Jacket) could cause certain Avalonian Archmage abilities to fail - Various additional performance, graphical, animation, terrain, audio, UI, and localization fixes

The Keeper Uprising Begins This Weekend

![Patch notes image](//assets.albiononline.com/uploads/media/default/media/1261ea4df8d74e16ee96aadd8a554dbe26146683.jpeg) After weeks of rumor and speculation, the disquiet in Albion seems to be coming to a head. A radical group of Keepers has been growing in numbers across Albion’s vast reaches, and it’s understood that on **July 4 **, a dangerous ritual will be initiated. The ** Keeper Uprising ** is beginning. ![Patch notes image](https://steamcommunity.com/public/shared/images/responsive/youtube_16x9_placeholder.gif) Over the next two months, you are called upon to fight these rebellious Keepers – known as the ** Ashborn ** – who threaten havoc in Albion. In doing so, you’ll encounter previously ** unknown enemies **, explore the ** deepest corners ** of the world, earn ** brand-new vanity ** items, and uncover the ** lore of the Keepers **. ### Missions and Rewards Until ** August 31 **, you can complete a series of Keeper-related ** missions ** which contribute to your overall progress in the event. These missions can be found in the ** Activities UI **, and function like an Albion Journal category. Completing each mission grants an ** individual reward **, and by reaching certain completion milestones you can unlock brand-new, themed vanity items: the ** Ashborn Armor **, ** Helmet **, and ** Avatar Ring **. ![Patch notes image](//assets.albiononline.com/uploads/media/default/media/21fa19225c9256fa3a13edb30b1eaf17cf708c8e.jpeg) These are only available for the duration of the Keeper Uprising, so make sure to participate in this event to complete these missions and earn these rewards. ### New Enemies As the Ashborn spread across Albion and perform their ritual, you’ll encounter more and more new foes. The first phase of the event will see the ** Mammoth Hunter ** wandering the open world, while other Keepers will emerge from their dungeons into places they never ventured before. ![Patch notes image](//assets.albiononline.com/uploads/media/default/media/d777faf9b14bb2e0246889c1379c5040823da489.jpeg) As the uprising unfolds, more Ashborn are expected to join the hordes, so watch out for ** further developments **. ### Keeper Memories This event introduces ** Keeper Memories **, fragments of lore to collect which tell the story behind the uprising and offer a glimpse into the world of the Keepers. Some of these can be found scattered across Albion’s open world, including some of its deepest and most ** hidden areas **, so explore diligently if you want to get to the bottom of these events. Other Memories, meanwhile, can be obtained from killing certain mobs. These are ** untradable **, so you’ll have to find them yourself in order to complete the story. ![Patch notes image](//assets.albiononline.com/uploads/media/default/media/a63ad99aa1fef8e6fb7989bcea62809e19a75493.jpeg) Keeper Memories will be collectable even after the event, and are recorded in the ** Albion Journal ** under the ** Exploration ** category. The Journal will also reveal ** hints ** to help you find further Memories as you collect them, with the story unfolding as you explore the world and fight these mysterious enemies. ### Guild Challenge As the Keeper Uprising takes place over the course of Guild Season 33, a dedicated ** Guild Challenge ** will be introduced for this season. This replaces the Crystal Creatures challenge, and rewards guilds for fighting the Ashborn during the uprising with a considerable amount of ** Season Points**. The Keeper Uprising marks a unique moment in Albion’s history. As the Ashborn gather force, opportunity awaits bold warriors and intrepid explorers. So take up your arms, adventurer, and fight the Keeper Uprising!
