v0.5.14.2212 Hotfix | Durability Rules & Fixes
Hello everyone! This update expands the World Rules for durability and repairs, giving each world more control over equipment upkeep.
We have also made the Self-Powered Sprinkler craftable, added more reliable ways to obtain Wolf Rabbit Issue 1, introduced several desert decorations, and addressed a number of gameplay issues.
World Rules: Choose Your Preferred Level of Equipment Upkeep
Some players enjoy preparing spare tools, gathering materials, and maintaining their equipment. Others would rather focus on exploration, combat, and large-scale building. The new options are intended to support both approaches.
- Added a “Durability Loss” World Rule. Turning it off prevents tools, weapons, armor, and Transformers from losing durability.
- Water stored in watering tools will still be consumed normally, as it represents their remaining water rather than equipment wear.
- Added a “Repair Material Cost” World Rule, with options for 0%, 15%, 35%, and 50%.
- Selecting 0% removes the additional repair-material cost, but a Battery Pack is still required.
- Durability Loss remains enabled by default, while Repair Material Cost defaults to 35%, matching the previous experience.
- Each world saves its own rules independently.
- In multiplayer, only the host can change World Rules. Changes are synchronized with the other players.
Players who want a stricter resource loop can retain durability and raise repair costs to 50%, while those looking for a lighter experience can reduce or disable the upkeep systems.
These rules are still in their first iteration, and we will continue refining them based on how they feel in actual play.

New Content and Acquisition Methods
- The Self-Powered Sprinkler can now be crafted. Place it on water to automatically water a 5×5 area of farmland.
- Crafting station: Precision Workstation
- Materials: 1 Hematite Ingot and 1 Coil
- Added more reliable ways to obtain Wolf Rabbit Issue 1:
- The Worm King is now guaranteed to drop it.
- It has been added to Rohen’s shop inventory.
- Made several desert decorations available for crafting, including the White Wooden Fence, White Wooden Fence Gate, and Highway pieces.
Balance and Item Adjustments
- Increased Copper Shovel durability from 175 to 250 and melee damage from 5 to 10.
- Increased Old Handheld Drill durability from 100 to 150.
- Increased Mousey-Mouse Transformer durability from 300 to 500.
- Improved three Evasion Mastery abilities—Rapid Runner, Rage Burst, and Dodge King. Their low-health effects now activate below 50% health instead of 10%.
- Adjusted the Airwave Gloves:
- Increased Airwave damage from 100 to 142.
- You can now hold to aim and fire on release.
- Each use costs 30 Spirit, with an attack cooldown of 0.9 seconds.
- Increased Marvin’s Airwave damage from 81 to 142.
These balance and functionality changes are an initial version, not a final answer. We will continue reviewing how they perform in actual play and adjust them based on player feedback.
Some suggestions require more time for design and testing, so they may not appear immediately. That does not mean they have been overlooked. At the same time, we do not intend to make sweeping changes in response to a single report.
We value both demanding and relaxed playstyles, and we believe many seemingly conflicting preferences can coexist through stronger systems and optional rules.
Controls and Description Improvements
- Added a shortcut action to the Repair screen.
- Added a “Disassembly Pop-Up Confirmation” option. Confirmation remains enabled by default, but it can be disabled when disassembling multiple items.
- Improved the descriptions of Kitchen Efficiency, Bumper Harvest, Vegetarian Recipes, Ascetic Appetite, Mindful Aim, One Last Chance, and several other abilities.
- Clarified descriptions for dash distance, Transformation Size, single-item Campfire cooking, bonus output from plant-based ingredients, and other effects.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where switching back to a regular grappling hook after using a Prosthetic Hand transformation could prevent it from hooking targets.
- Fixed an issue where Mindful Aim’s ranged-damage bonus could fail to activate.
- Fixed an equipment-slot parameter error in multiplayer projectile events, which could cause attacks to use information from the wrong equipped ranged item.
We would also like to keep asking everyone:
- What other customizable World Rules would you like to see?
- What kinds of decorations would you like us to add?
