Dev Blog: The Artist
Hej hej!
The chirping of crickets and the rustling of tumbleweeds make up for the majority of sound in the offices of Porcelain Fortress at the moment as the bulk of our team is on vacation. Undaunted, the rest of us trudge onward to bring you a brand-spanking-new content update that should make its way to you guys next Tuesday!
Let's take a look a the headline act of the update and Walk of Life's newest role: The Artist!

The Artist is a bohemian rebel that refuses to conform to the norms of society. This pretentious beatnik is the first role that refuses to join the workforce and therefore can't get a job at the job office! Instead, the role relies on creating artwork in order to survive the Walk of Life (that's the title of the game!)

Whenever the Artist enters a location, a little widget will pop up similar to the work button when other roles enter their workplace. This will be the primary button to mash as the Artist in order to create your art, but there are some nuances to it!

Each location will have a certain amount of inspiration the artist will use to create their art. The higher the inspiration, the faster the progress. As the artist creates art in the location, the inspiration will drain as the artist will want to seek out fresh locations to get inspired.
Inspiration then refills slowly between rounds, at a faster rate depending on how much education the artist has. Upon completion, artwork may be pawned off at the pawn shop for cash. The more experienced the artist, the higher quality artwork will be created!

The artist role is all about exploring the map to find inspiring locations to work in. We recommend picking up some quests in Vexcorp that you can do along the way and you'll hardly ever feel bored when playing this role!
We hope that you guys will enjoy getting your hands on this new role next week. As always, we'd really appreciate a Steam review if you haven't given us one yet, as it's super helpful for smaller devs such as ourselves.
That's it! Dev blog's over! Go away!
