Dev Diaries #012: Voices of the Swamps
Hello, players!
We’re back with another look at the world of Toto’s Journey and the creatures who call the Magic Land their home.
Throughout his adventure, Toto will meet many different inhabitants of the Blue Country. Some live among forests and mountains, while others prefer less busy places hidden away from the common paths.
The ones we’re introducing today prefer quiet swamps, cool shade, and peaceful life. And it seems they especially enjoy sharing their thoughts with friendly dogs who happen to pass by.
Meet the Sage Toads!
Each Sage Toad has experienced many things in their years of life in the Magic Land and holds vast amounts of knowledge and wisdom like few in all Four Countries have. And since their fellow Toads already know most of their tales, they are always happy to share them with a new traveler.
So if Toto politely asks, they’ll gladly offer a helpful hint or a bit of swampy wisdom. They are quite friendly, after all.
The Toads also have one very special tradition — somehow, their most important conversations always happen on Wednesdays. Perhaps it’s a coincidence… or perhaps they simply know that Wednesdays are when we share new developer diaries about Toto’s adventure.
Toadally by coincidence or not, many more secrets and stories from the Magic Land are still waiting ahead!
