TFT Vegas Open 2026 Competitor Info

As part of the Convergence Fest, the TFT Open is returning to where it all began - Las Vegas! This year, we're welcoming more competitors than ever before with an expanded 1,024-player open bracket. Whether you're a seasoned tournament veteran or looking to make your mark on the biggest stage in TFT, there's never been a better time to join the competition, meet fellow players, and see how far your run can go!

Event Information
The biggest TFT and Riftbound mash-up event - AKA Convergence Fest - will be held in Las Vegas from December 11-13!
There will be multiple ways to play TFT at the Vegas Open including the main open-bracket tournament and a variety of Side Events.
TFT Vegas Open
The TFT Vegas Open will feature 1,024 competitors entering an open-bracket LAN tournament on Day 1 and only one player winning it all on Day 3! Players will compete on Set 19, which will launch shortly before the event kicks off. The seeding, point system, and format can be found below.

Side Events
Players and Spectators who are not actively participating in the open-bracket tournament will have opportunities to enter into a variety of Side Events starting on Day 2! More information on the Side Events can be found in the official rulebook here.
Introducing Tactician’s Gauntlet: Vegas Qualifiers
Taking place this September before Competitor passes go on sale, the Tactician’s Gauntlet: Vegas Qualifiers is a brand-new online tournament series giving players from around the world a shot at winning a coveted Competitor Pass to the Vegas Open.
This high-stakes 64-player tournament will put competitors to the test as they battle for a chance to win a spot at the biggest TFT event of the year!
How to Participate
To enter, players must be ranked Platinum+ and purchase an entry into the Tactician’s Gauntlet for $39 on the tournament sign-up page. From Sept 11-13 there will be competitions each day!
On tournament day, players must log in to Tournament Realm, ready up on the Tactician's Gauntlet website, and then will be automatically placed into their tournament game. No manual custom lobbies required.
Format
The Gauntlet starts with 64 players per run and goes through 4 rounds.
- Round 1: 64 players split into 8 lobbies. Play 1 game. Top 4 advance
- Round 2: 32 players split into 4 lobbies. Play 1 game. Top 4 advance
- Round 3: 16 players split into 2 lobbies. Play 1 game. Top 4 advance
- Round 4: Top 8 players play 1 game. Top 4 win competitor pass. Bot 4 win spectator pass
- If you bot 4 in the previous 3 rounds, you can re-buy into the tournament and try again.
Rewards
- Top 4 players in the final round earn a Competitor Pass to the TFT Vegas Open
- Bot 4 players in the final round earn an Attendee Pass to Convergence Fest
- Passes will be distributed to players via their Riot Account associated with the Gauntlet
TFT Vegas Open Format
Seeding
Players will be initially seeded based on their Enchanted Wilds ranking. These seeding snapshots will take place on October 6, 12:15AM Local Time. After Round 1, players will be seeded via snake draft based upon the points they earn throughout the tournament.
Point System
Throughout the tournament, points will be awarded to each player based on the results of each game: 8/7/6/5/4/3/2/1 (ie: first place wins 8 points, eighth place wins 1 point). Points reset between each round and will only be used to break ties for advancement to the next round.
Schedule
We’ll bring together 1,024 players in an immense open-bracket competition across 3 days. Players will be split into pools of 8 for each round and will advance based upon the points they earn throughout each round. A detailed schedule can be found below:

Day 1 - Round 1
- In Round 1, 1,024 players will be split into 128 lobbies of 8 players each.
- Each lobby will play 4 games.
- The top 2 players from each lobby will advance to Day 2!

Day 2 - Rounds 2-4
- In Round 2, 256 players will be split into 32 lobbies and compete in 3 games. The top 4 players from each lobby will advance to Round 3.
- In Round 3, 128 Players will be split into 16 lobbies and will play 3 games. The top 4 players from each lobby will advance to Round 4.
- In Round 4, 64 Players will be split into 8 lobbies and will play in a checkmate format:
- Once a player has achieved 20 points in their lobby, they put the rest of the lobby in “check”.
- When a player has put the lobby in “check” they must win a game (secure 1st place) to win the checkmate.
- Multiple players can have the lobby in “check” at the same time.
- If no player in "check" has won after 6 games, then the player with the most total points wins the checkmate.
- The winners of each Checkmate will advance to the Final Lobby & Day 3!
- Once a player has won, the rest of the players in their lobby are sorted by Checkmate points to determine their finishing position in the tournament.

Day 3 - Grand Final
- The Top 8 players will play in a checkmate format.
- Once a player has achieved 20 points on Day 3, they put the rest of the lobby in “check”
- When a player has put the lobby in “check” they must then secure 1st place to win the tournament.
- Multiple players can have the lobby in “check” at the same time.
- If no player in "check" has won after 8 games, then the player with the most total points wins the tournament.
- Once a player has won, the rest of the players are sorted by Day 3 points to determine their finishing position in the tournament.

Tournament Prizing
The top 128 players will win a share of the $311,300 USD prize pool, with the Vegas Open Champion taking home a grand prize of $100,000! Check out the full prize pool breakdown below:

Ladder Snapshots
The cutoff date for Enchanted Wilds ranked snapshots will be September 6 at 12:15AM Local Server Time and you will need a valid Riot Games account in order to register and purchase your pass.
On-Sale Dates
The TFT Vegas Open passes will be on sale during specific windows from Sept 15-17! On each day, competitor passes will open for sale at 6:00 AM PT / 9:00 AM ET / 3:00 PM CEST / 9:00 PM GMT+8.
