Important Notice For Photosensitivty Options
"Flashing Effects" setting in General Tab of the Settings Menu has been replaced by two separate settings, both of which will inherit the value previous set for the "Flashing Effects" setting:
- “Explosion Flashes”: affecting impact frames appearing when viewing or being near explosions. This setting behaves exactly the same as the removed “Flashing Effects” setting used to
- “Camera Flashes”: only affecting the new Flash Camera item
1) Content & Gameplay Additions
- New 9-hole course: City
- Added 7 new Forest levels
- Added 2 new Desert levels
- New mode: Teams
- On each hole, the team with the most scoring players will earn a team point. Earn more team points on a course than the opposing team to win!
- Players are protected from knockouts and eliminations by teammates. No need to hold back in taking the other team down!
- New item: Smoke Bomb
- Disappear into the shadows!
- New item: Flash Camera
- Blind your fellow golfers!
- New item: Thunderstorm
- Summon a deadly storm!
- New item: Railgun
- Vaporize your friends!
- New item: Jumbo Burger
- Terrorize the city!

- Added many new cosmetics
- Some unlocked by achievements and some by default
- Including a full outfit, club and ball in collaboration with Ironmouse!

- Added many color variations to existing cosmetics
- Added 6 new achievements, each unlocking new cosmetics
2) Changes & Improvements
- The rendering pipeline was changed for improved performance and rendering quality
- The Freeze Bomb projectile is now shot with greater speed for easier aiming and longer range
- Ice platforms created by shooting a Freeze Bomb into water are now longer in size
- Players can now be frozen by a Freeze Bomb while protected by a blue or orange knockout immunity shield
- Electromagnet shields now protect players from being instantly eliminated by a direct hit with an Orbital Laser, as well as direct hits by the new Thunderstorm and Railgun items. The shield will explode violently instead, and the shielded player will be knocked out
- Players will now stop counting down time until recovering from a knockout as long as they have a fire trail due to being hit by a Rocket Driver, making successful hits with Rocket Drivers more effective
- Golf club swings can no longer hit planted Landmines, making it possible to swing at a ball that’s on top of a planted Landmine without triggering it (although you’ll still need to sneak up to it to avoid its motion detection!)
- Landmines will now play warning beeps when players and objects whose motion could cause the landmines to explode are nearby and moving fast enough, to better communicate their motion detection mechanic and its range
- The Air Horn will now cause almost all items held by other players to be used involuntarily, even if they aren’t being aimed, and will also cause Golf Cart drivers to honk
- Rockets and Freeze Bombs can now be detonated mid-air if shot directly or caught in an explosion
- Slightly increased the accuracy of the Elephant Gun
- It is no longer possible to target an empty golf cart with a homing shot or Rocket Launcher, as well as golf carts containing only teammates (when playing in the new Teams mode) and/or invisible opponents (using the new Smoke Bomb item)
- Drowning will now be cancelled if the drowning player gets knocked out of the water before a respawn is initiated
- The preview on the swing power bar now displays wooden bridges
- Mobility item boxes now contain only Spring Boots and Rocket Drivers, so they will always allow the player to make a leap
- Rebalanced all default item probabilities, mainly to increase variety when in the lead while still keeping more powerful and disruptive items rare
- An info feed message will now be displayed whenever an Air Horn causes a player to involuntarily swing or use an item
- A unique info feed icon will now be displayed when a player is hit by a Freeze Bomb that’s been reflected by an Electromagnet shield
- Landmines armed by a player hitting them with a golf club or item will now be owned by the hitting player for the purposes of knockout credit, as well as team allegiance in the new Teams mode
- Players who finish a hole now lose any knockout immunity shields they had and cannot gain new ones for the remaining duration of the hole to reduce visual noise (and because knockouts are funny)
- Level tweaks:
- Added a checkpoint near start of Terraces
- Adjusted terrain materials on Vertigo to reduce the risk of balls bouncing out of the playable area
- Added a field of view slider to the Graphics tab of the Settings menu
- Added a separate ambience volume slider to the Audio tab of the Settings menu
- The duration of blue shields (which are provided when recovering from a knockout or when respawning) is now tweakable in the Rules tab of the Match Setup menu
- The active and inactive hole lists in the Courses tab of the Match Setup menu can now be scrolled while dragging holes
- Added an option in the General tab of the Settings menu to hide the in-game voice chat indicators that appear on the right side of the screen
- You can now click your own entry in the Match Setup menu with a mouse to quickly move to and from spectators (and between teams in the new Teams mode), similarly to how controller input already works
- Added a tooltip to the microphone input mode setting in the Audio tab of the Settings screen that displays the key assigned to the “Push to Talk” input if either the “Push to talk” or “Push to toggle” options are selected
- Improved some button prompt icons to make them clearer and more concise
- The hole names displayed at the beginning of every hole are now unique to each course and animated
- Polished the reticles of all items that can be aimed
- The item probability section of the Rules tab in the Match Setup menu has been redesigned for better clarity
- The emote radial menu has been given a facelift
- Reduced the time it takes for tooltips to appear when hovering over menu options while using a controller
- Adjusted the lobby browser and pause menu to display lobbies’ mode (Free-for-all or Teams)
- The customization shop menu on the Driving Range has been updated to fit the added categories, as well as more custom presets
- Players who are in spectator mode on the Driving Range will now have a spectator icon next to their name on the scoreboard, to better indicate they will not be participating in a match if one is started
- Added a bullet whizz sound for Dueling Pistol and Elephant Gun shots that barely miss the player
- Added a sound effect for the Freeze Bomb flourish animation
- Improved water reflection rendering
- Added some fake depth to the Driving Range customization shop entrance (to hide our secrets )
- The “Frog Legs” achievement now only takes horizontal distance into account
3) Optimization & Fixes
- Prevented exploits

- Fixed non-host players sometimes being disconnected when attempting to exit the customization menu using a controller in a password-protected lobby
- Fixed a soft lock occurring under rare circumstances when selecting "Cancel" on the password prompt while attempting to connect to a password-protected lobby
- Fixed players being able to deflect balls easily by diving while standing on top of them
- Fixed balls hovering over players’ heads after returning from out of bounds not dropping immediately when the player is on a wooden bridge above water or fog
- Fixed Freeze Bombs being able to create platforms on water that are mostly or completely underneath terrain, possibly blocking the hole on certain levels
- Fixed players respawning frozen if they’re frozen while drowning
- Fixed swung landmines sometimes exploding when hitting players with an active Electromagnet shield, rather than bouncing off of it
- Fixed landmines exploding if the host stands within their motion detection range and begins walking away from them (at a speed lower than their motion detection speed)
- Fixed Landmines getting stuck in the air if planted on Freeze Bomb ice blocks or platforms, once they break or move out of the way
- Fixed Landmines getting stuck in the air when planted on golf carts, rather than being rooted to them
- Fixed players not colliding with Freeze Bomb ice blocks under certain conditions
- Fixed being able to use up a golf cart item without spawning it by spamming the item use input while entering an existing golf cart
- Fixed canceling a swing and then releasing the swing charge input on controller triggering an unintentional minimum charge swing
- Fixed freezing a player inside a golf cart with the Freeze Bomb not counting as a knockout in the info feed and scoreboard
- Fixed freezing an already frozen player with the Freeze Bomb still awarding a speed boost
- Fixed freezing a golf cart that’s already frozen with the Freeze bomb still awarding a speed boost for every passenger
- Fixed players being able to regain items that they’ve already used up by disconnecting and reconnecting
- Fixed player knockouts, dominations and red knockout immunity shields not persisting after they, or the players they dominate, disconnect and reconnect
- Fixed players remaining on the scoreboard, pause menu, and Match Setup menu if they disconnect while the host is transitioning between levels
- Fixed the cosmetic purchase prompt popping up automatically whenever navigating to unowned cosmetics on controller in the customization menu on the Driving range, rather than only on a button press
- Fixed holding the aim input while getting up from a dive causing movement to be very slow until aim input is released
- Fixed swinging in the direction opposite the character’s facing direction causing their rotation to overshoot when snapping to the camera’s facing direction
- Fixed rotating the camera while still in a swing causing the player to rotate as well, past a certain point in the swing
- Fixed Electromagnet shields not being canceled early if the protected player respawns
- Fixed matches never ending when the “Countdown” rule is set to 0 seconds
- Fixed the “On or Below Par”, “Chip-In”, and “Speedrun” rules being disabled preventing relevant info feed messages from being displayed in matches, rather than only preventing bonus score from being awarded
- Fixed frozen players having different physics while in the air as compared to knocked out players. This was mostly noticeable when frozen players would hit jump pads
- Fixed players’ connection attempts to password-protected lobbies failing if they’re on the password prompt for the lobby when the lobby host transitions between levels
- Fixed the frozen effect on players’ voice not being disabled when they are eliminated due to falling into water or fog while inside a frozen golf cart
- Fixed player movement on top of a player or object that’s been frozen by a Freeze Bomb not behaving like ice
- Fixed Freeze Bomb projectiles passing through their shooter’s Electromagnet shield rather than bouncing off of it, if they manage to hit themselves
- Fixed ongoing item uses (such as Golf Cart and Orbital Laser) not being cancelled when entering the customization shop on the Driving Range
- Level fixes:
- Fixed areas where the player could get stuck on Catwalk and Hilltops
- Fixed an area where the player’s ball could get stuck on Shallows
- Fixed some environment objects not having any colliders on Catwalk
- Fixed floating environment objects on Lone Island, Catwalk, and the Driving Range
- Fixed some item boxes being placed too high off the ground on Downhill and Sandbanks
- Fixed the out of bounds ground ending abruptly and too close to the playing area on Vertigo and Serpent Trail
- Fixed some exposed terrain seams on Upward
- Fixed the green being jagged on Roundabout
- Removed an item box that was underneath the terrain on Sand Traps
- Fixed the green on Overgrown having a bit of fairway in it
- Fixed the different sections of the teeing area on the Driving Range being uneven
- Fixed mouse wheel scrolling sometimes being unresponsive in the lobby browser and on the credits screen
- Fixed being unable to open the scoreboard during the overview at the beginning of a hole
- Fixed a certain section of the cosmetic list in the customization menu not being selectable with a mouse
- Fixed being unable to bind the scroll wheel to some actions
- Fixed the votekick UI not closing after a vote is finished if the requester or target of the vote have already disconnected
- Fixed the votekick window incorrectly enabling votekick inputs for players who auto-voted (the initiator and target of the vote)
- Fixed votekicks that are started during the overview at the beginning of a hole not being visible until the tee-off countdown begins
- Fixed player icons failing to load under some circumstances
- Fixed the Golf Cart item use sounds only being audible for the player using the item
- Fixed the Coffee item use sounds playing to completion even if the item use was interrupted
- Fixed an animation pop happening immediately after finishing using items
- Fixed golf clubs being very briefly animated outside players’ hands in certain edge cases
- Fixed players never playing the diving in air animation after hitting the ground during a dive, even if managing to make it off the ground again
- Fixed victory dances sometimes cutting off other animations after finishing a hole
- Fixed fog not being applied correctly to breakable ice
- Fixed the crossed out eyes when knocked out only being displayed for the local player, and not others
- Fixed players with the cyclops eye cosmetic displaying two crossed out eyes when knocked out instead of one
- Fixed a gap between the pumpkin head cosmetic and the player’s neck
- Fixed certain parts of character models not being rendered while still onscreen in some rare cases
- Fixed the stroke count at the top left of the screen not being visible when wind is turned off in the match settings
- Fixed the score gained on the current hole shown on the scoreboard wrapping to a new line if above 999 (this could only ever happen on the Driving Range)
- Fixed the loadout selected in the customization menu not being applied when exiting the menu immediately after selecting it
- Fixed selection of the default cosmetic in some categories of the customization menu not being saved when switching between loadouts
- Fixed a wrong texture being displayed momentarily in the customization menu preview when selecting the default clothes with a color variation
- Fixed cosmetic color variation options sometimes being incorrectly displayed when in the victory dance tab of the customization menu
- Fixed dances not being sorted correctly in the customization menu
- Fixed wind info not always reappearing for non-host players when the host disables and enables wind
- Fixed the “Escalating” wind option in the Rules tab of the Match Setup menu not activating wind on the Driving Range
- Fixed the host being unable to change the course preset in the Courses tab of the Match Setup menu if the “Custom” preset is selected, random hole order is enabled, and no holes are present in the active hole list
- Fixed the “Number of Holes” slider displaying incorrect values for non-host players in the Courses tab of the Match Setup menu if random hole order is enabled
- Fixed some items not fading out correctly when equipped by a player and close to the camera
- Fixed text chat messages becoming squished when too many long messages are received at once
- Fixed item boxes arbitrarily only dropping the last item in the items list when all probabilities are set to 0% for a category in the Rules tab of the Match Setup menu. Only Coffee will drop in this case now
- Removed the unused “Use Item” key binding in the Controls tab of the Settings menu (item use shares the same input as “Swing” binding)
- Fixed reflections not being visible on far away water surfaces
- Fixed red knockout immunity shields still being visible where a player who had one was eliminated, before they begin respawning
- Fixed players reappearing immediately if they score while mid-respawn in a match
- Fixed non-host players not having their camera pull back to regular golf cart distance when first entering a golf cart that they spawn from an item
- Fixed cosmetic tooltips showing up in the customization menu when hovering with a mouse over cosmetics that are outside of the scroll view
- Fixed the bounce pad’s VFX being inconsistently affected by shadows
- Fixed players not emitting the speed boost footstep dust puffs when running on most non-terrain objects
- Fixed selecting “Cancel” on the password prompt while attempting to connect to a password-protected lobby causing a “Connection failed” message to be shown
- Fixed golf cart headlight textures not lighting up when they’re on
- Fixed left footstep VFX displaying the right footstep
- Fixed the benches in the driving range not receiving shadows
- Fixed player names being displayed in white rather than highlighted in the standard green in the info feed message that appears when scoring on the driving range
- Fixed the dance preview animation in the customization menu resetting when selecting the victory dance tab while already viewing that category
