THE CREVASSE UPDATE

Nuclear Nightmare - The Crevasse Update
New Map - The Crevasse
A brand new Antarctic location has been added. Fight your way through massive ice crevasses, abandoned facilities and use the new elevator system to move between different sections of the map.
Enemy Spawn Pool Selection
Server hosts can now choose exactly which enemies are allowed to spawn on a map through the World Settings. Want the Slug Queen on Low Island? A match with nothing but Mimics? Go for it. The choice is yours.

3D Main Menu Returns
The main menu once again features unique 3D backgrounds based on the map you currently have selected.
Graphical Overhaul & Volumetric Clouds
The game has received a major graphical overhaul. I've spent a lot of time trying to recapture the atmosphere of the older versions while improving the overall visuals.

Volumetric clouds have also been added to Tower Island and the new Crevasse map, featuring real cloud shadows across the environment. You can even fly directly through them during helicopter flights.

AI Overhaul
This is by far the biggest gameplay change in the update.
Enemy AI has been completely reworked from the ground up. Enemies are now capable of travelling across the map naturally and have non-alerted/alerted states, making each match far less predictable. Stealth has also become a much more viable way to play, giving players another option besides simply fighting everything they see.
The new system also opens the door for a huge amount of future AI improvements and new enemy behaviors while being significantly more performant than the previous system.
When the evacuation helicopter is called, enemies will now begin converging on the extraction zone, making the final escape much more intense.
Husky Guard Mode Overhaul
Guard Mode has been completely reworked. Huskies now continuously scan for nearby threats instead of reacting less consistently, and they're now capable of fully killing enemies instead of simply distracting them.
Worm Improvements
The worm can now eat almost anything unlucky enough to be standing underneath it. This includes enemies, snowmobiles and anything else that can take damage.
Difficulty Changes
Hard nuke timer difficulty now uses the previous Nightmare nuke time.
Nightmare nuke timer difficulty has been increased even further, reducing the nuke timer to just 25 minutes.
Fire Improvements
Fire now gradually shrinks as it burns out instead of suddenly disappearing.
Snowmobile Changes
- Snowmobiles can now be destroyed by grenades.
- Snowmobiles can also catch fire and explode.
Laser Trip Mine Changes
Opening a door into a laser trip mine will now trigger the explosion.
To prevent unfair deaths, every existing trip mine placed behind doors has been moved to a safer location.
Photograph Improvements
Photograph objectives now use realistic camera exposure and flash when displaying developed Polaroids, making the photos look much more authentic.
Tent LOD Improvements
Improved the tent LODs so they no longer become noticeably low resolution at close range.
Dog Death Audio
Dogs now make a sound when they die.
Vehicle Camera Fix
Vehicles now automatically correct their roll angle after spawning, preventing tilted cameras when spawning on uneven terrain.
Snowmobile Exit Fix
Fixed a multiplayer issue where clients could sometimes face the wrong direction after exiting a snowmobile.
Revolver Flashlight Fix
Fixed a bug where the revolver would remain equipped while unequipping the revolver + flashlight combo.
Forest Water Fix
Fixed an issue where enemies could become stuck in water on the Forest map.
