Voice of YMIR, Developer’s Response (Week 6)

Greetings, this is Kim Sung-hee, Director of Legend of YMIR.

The Voice of YMIR campaign, which we have been running alongside our Warriors, has reached its 6th week. The sharp criticisms and affectionate suggestions that we receive every week serves as the greatest driving force for our development team to solidify the foundation of the game and move in the right direction.

This week as well, we would like to honestly and transparently share our clear design intentions and future directions for improvement regarding the main issues our Warriors are curious about.

1stLegacy EquipmentRequest for Fail Compensation for +10 Legacy Equipment (Jarngreipr)[Not Applied]NFI equipment (+10 Legacy Equipment) cannot be issued arbitrarily by the game company, and because the acquisition method is restricted to preserve the value of NFI equipment, it is difficult to provide a pity system.

3rdContentProposal for a Large-Scale Collaboration with the Popular IP 'Attack on Titan'[Positively Reviewing]We deeply appreciate your creative proposal, and we will plan and review global collaborations that fit the world setting from various angles.
4thBalanceBalance Patch to Address Over-Concentration on Archer and Rune Fighter[To Be Applied]We will carry out prompt and bold balance adjustments in line with the release timing of the Colosseum and the New Class update.

Details Explanation and Direction for Key Agenda Items

1. Request for Legacy Equipment Pity System and Other Comprehensive Improvement Opinions (1st Agenda Item)

In addition to requesting the introduction of a pity system for Legacy equipment, the Kings server partner provided comprehensive suggestions across various fields, including various convenience improvements, easing BM benefits, and modifying security policies.

  • Answer: We will break down the various suggestions and answer them clearly.
  • [Actively Accepted] Bag and Warehouse expansion: Regarding the request to increase the capacity to 999 slots, we are checking whether development is possible as a top priority for user convenience.
  • [Positively Considering] WEMIX PLUS Improvement: To ease the burden caused by the end-of-month grade reset, we are preparing an improvement plan to roll over excess payment amounts or ease the downgrade cycle to a quarterly basis.
  • [Carefully Reviewing] Addition of Season Refining Stone Point Shop: While we sympathize with the intent to bridge the gap for new users, we are reviewing this very carefully due to concerns about undermining the efforts of existing users and the market value of items.
  • [Not Accepted] NFI Equipment Pity System and Additional Security Feature Request: A pity system cannot be introduced for NFI equipment (+10 Legacy equipment) to enhance its value by restricting its source. In addition, please understand that skipping 15-minute signatures, sub-wallet linking, and secondary password filtering cannot be introduced as they pose extremely high system stability and security risks.

2. Proposal for Retroactive Rewards of Epic/Rare Cards Based on Summon Count (2nd Agenda Item)

This was a request to retroactively apply rewards based on past summon history.

  • Answer: We fully understand Warriors' sense of loss. However, as the game environment and balance have continuously evolved to ensure stable service, retroactively granting rewards across the board based on past activity records is realistically difficult to implement given our economic structure. As this is a necessary pain to provide a more enjoyable and balanced service in the future, we ask for your generous understanding.

3. Large-Scale Collaboration Proposal with Globally Popular IP 'Attack on Titan' (3rd Agenda Item)

Warriors suggested a detailed collaboration plan including story events, costumes, world boss, and more.

  • Answer: This is a wonderful proposal that fits well with Legend of YMIR's rough and grand world. We sincerely thank our Warriors for their deep interest and creativity. Our development team is also always open to attractive global collaborations that will inject new vitality into the game. We will actively review this, including the ideas you proposed, so that we can present fun events from various angles.

4. Re-examination of Class Balance to Resolve Concentration on Specific Classes (4th Agenda Item)

Warriors pointed out the phenomenon of users concentrating on the Archer and Rune Fighter, requesting a full-scale adjustment.

  • Answer: Since the balance patch last July, we have been closely monitoring real-time combat logs and performance metrics across all servers. An overreliance on specific classes is not the direction we intended. To ensure each Class firmly establishes its unique charm and role, we will proceed with balance adjustments alongside the upcoming Colosseum opening and the new class update.

5. Proposal to Build a Global Ranking System on the Official Website (5th Agenda Item)

Warriors suggested a feature to transparently compare Character and Clan rankings across all regions and servers.

  • Answer: We fully agree with the need for a ranking page that can prove and transparently track the strength of Warriors around the world. Detailed planning to implement total Growth Power, Class-by-Class, and Clan-by-Clan rankings, as well as Search functionality within the official website, is currently in its final stages, and we will prepare to officially introduce it in line with the New Class update coming in October.

Heading Towards the Final Week of 'Voice of YMIR'

Warriors, as we wrap up the week 6 response, we are delivering a regrettable notice.

The 'Voice of YMIR' campaign, which began with ambitious goals to shape the future of Legend of YMIR together with Warriors, will close its grand journey of opinion submissions on Monday, August 31.

After meticulously gathering submissions up to the current final 7th week, we plan to successfully conclude this campaign by releasing the long-awaited final Week 7 Developer Answers next Friday, September 4.

As there is still time left in the event period, if you have any lingering disappointments or brilliant ideas you haven't shared yet, please do not hesitate to make your precious voices heard in this final opportunity.

Until the day we provide the final answers, and even after the campaign ends, I will remain a Director who unfailingly listens to the voices of Warriors.

Thank you.

Sincerely, Kim Sung-hee, Director of Legend of YMIR
