Valhalla Letter: A New YMIR Shaped by the Voices of Warriors

Greetings, warriors of Legend of YMIR. This is Executive Producer Seok Hoon.

The special Voice of YMIR Campaign, introduced in last week’s letter, officially begins today at last. A new journey of sincere communication has now begun, one in which we listen with humility to the voices of our Warriors, the true masters of the Land of YMIR, and demonstrate our commitment by turning your thoughtful criticism and valuable suggestions into meaningful changes within the game.

In this eighteenth letter, before the campaign begins in earnest, I would first like to share the tangible results of how the development team has responded to the candid criticism and requests for improvement that Warriors have continued to send us through various community channels, as well as the changes we have been preparing as a result.

1. Immediate Changes to Address Warriors’ Most Pressing Needs: [Updates Implemented on July 14]

Based on your feedback, we would like to share the changes introduced in today’s update, along with a key feature scheduled to arrive later this week.

• A New Crossroads of Competition and Growth: [Albit's Labyrinth Opens]
• The long-awaited Season of Competition has now officially begun. For Warriors struggling to overcome barriers to character progression, the new Albit's Labyrinth has been added, offering a way to accelerate your growth while experiencing the thrilling tension of Inter-Server combat. Enjoy the satisfaction of relentless progression alongside the adrenaline-fueled excitement of fierce competition.
• Breaking Down the Barriers to Growth: [Weekly Story Deck Exchange Limit Removed]
• We have removed the weekly Story Deck exchange limit, which many Warriors felt had become an obstacle to smooth and steady progression. You are now free from the pressure of weekly exchange limits, allowing you to exchange Story Decks whenever it suits you and accelerate your growth with greater freedom and flexibility.
• Answering One of Your Most Requested Features: [Official Dual-Client Support Coming This Week]
• The dual-client feature, which countless Warriors have continued to request, is finally scheduled to receive official support later this week. This will not only make party play and raid progression more convenient, but also allow you to begin a new adventure on the high-speed progression server, Boot Camp, without being held back by the need to focus exclusively on developing your main character. Do not miss this extraordinary opportunity for accelerated growth.

2. Our Commitment to a Better Tomorrow: [Improvements Coming in the July 28 Update]

The upcoming July 28 update will introduce a wide range of major improvements designed to significantly ease resource acquisition and remove barriers to progression.

• Addressing Clan Fund Shortages:
• We fully understand the concern that clan progression can stall due to a shortage of Clan Funds, a core resource for clan activities. To address this, we will comprehensively rebalance both the acquisition and consumption of Clan Funds. We will also significantly increase the maximum amount of Silver that can be donated to a clan, allowing Clan Funds to circulate far more smoothly.
• Major Improvements to Rewards from Core Content:
• The fierce battles and unwavering dedication of our Warriors deserve rewards worthy of their efforts. We will significantly increase the rewards available from Sindri’s Lost Treasure Island, Clan Annihilation Battle, and Server Battle. May you claim the glory of victory with richer spoils awaiting you at the end of every hard-fought battle.
• New Crafting Recipes for Previous Season Item Enhancement Stones:
• To greatly improve the usefulness of currencies and items left over from past seasons, new crafting recipes will be added for Enhancement Stones specifically designed for previous season items. The effort you poured into past seasons will not go to waste. Instead, it will be reforged into a new source of strength.

3. Continuous Communication: Discussions Currently Underway

In addition to the changes implemented or confirmed today, we are continuing internal discussions on the many valuable suggestions submitted by our Warriors. First, we would like to share the improvements currently under review.

• Reviewing Improvements to Convenience and Clarity:
• We are positively considering adding a Disir Skill Cooldown display to the HUD, which would make cooldowns easier to track during combat. We are also reviewing an expansion of the number of available presets from three to six, allowing Warriors to switch equipment and skills more flexibly across a wider range of combat situations. We will provide an update as soon as the implementation schedule has been finalized.
• Discussing Quality Improvements to Content:
• For improvements to the rewards from Phantom of Loki, we are considering options beyond simply increasing the rewards. These include a comprehensive renewal of the content itself or even the introduction of an entirely new boss designed to ignite the competitive spirit of our Warriors.
• We have also received feedback regarding the restriction on using Teleport Scrolls during combat. We are discussing potential improvements in depth as we seek the optimal balance between maintaining the tension of combat and improving overall convenience.

Warriors, with the launch of the Season of Competition, a wide variety of events have been prepared to fully support you on your great journey, including the YMIR × RAZER Gear Up Event and Boot Camp: The Great Initiative Event. We wholeheartedly support your relentless pursuit of new challenges.

Then, on July 21, server merge and server transfers will take place for general servers. With the Season of Competition now underway, this massive shift stirring across the Land of YMIR is sure to unleash a storm of change. New Warriors joining through NFT characters, powerful emerging factions born from server merge and transfers, and formidable challengers entering the fray after graduating from Boot Camp, all await their moment to rise. We look forward to seeing the bold declarations of Warriors setting out to conquer the Land of YMIR.

The newly revamped Server Battle and YMIR League Season 4, both coming soon, will also be key highlights of this Season of Competition. To heighten the intensity of Inter-Server matchmaking and revitalize the league, we are carrying out extensive overhauls and improvements. We will devote ourselves to the final stages of development so that we can deliver battles that are more thrilling and polished than ever before.
