Patch 0.5.6

Guildrun
Patch 0.5.6

Hello Guildmasters,

And welcome to our weekly update.

We are slowly moving into a phase where we'll leave the demo's content as it is, and start focusing our work on the full version of the game. To make the full release as good as we can, we need to concentrate our effort, which will now shift more and more towards full release and away from the demo. We'll still keep an eye on bugs and balance in the meantime.

Thank you all for playing Guildrun, giving feedback and chatting with us - it's an amazing experience developing Guildrun together with you. We'll let you know when there's a chance to play the beta and test content ahead of release.

Now, moving onto today's update. With some team members taking a deserved break after the demo release, this week we have a slightly smaller patch for you, bringing:

  • Buffs to Pollen and Zuri
  • Bug Fixes
  • Rift Seal is now auto-equipped at the start of a run

⭐ = Community Suggestions

Let's jump into the changes in detail:

General Changes

  • ⭐Starting from the second Red Rift run, Rift Seal will now be automatically equipped
  • After a 100+ upvote reddit posts and countless suggestions across Steam and Discord, we had to implement this :D
  • Relics and items gained that aren't gained immediately will now appear in the battle results panel with the name of the originating event.

Bug Fixes

  • ⭐Shops will no longer repeat their offerings 1:1 when rerolled (thanks everyone for reporting and describing ways for us to reproduce this - helped us a ton fixing this)
  • ⭐Fixed Nyx’s and Reyna’s active abilities not triggering auto attack interactions
  • ⭐Fixed Fiona’s The Tycoon specialization displaying doubled bonus outside of the combat
  • ⭐Fixed Poison, Burn and Frost Migrator relics not triggering when there are exactly two enemies left on the board
  • ⭐Improved precision of Burn, Frost and Poison ticks, they should now trigger 60 times per minute instead of 58
  • ⭐Shield Power rank up should now properly grant AD bonus
  • ⭐Relics duplicates from frozen shops, delayed rewards and challenge fights should no longer be offered
  • Improved crash reporting for Windows

Balance Changes

Heroes

  • Pollen
  • Notes: While Pollen overall is performing at a reasonable level, Fae’s Kiss has continued to struggle compared to her other two specializations when played on the board. An increase in poison on her signature ability should help Fae’s Kiss significantly more than the other two specializations, while maintaining her strength as a late game backup option.
  • Sanctuary of Bloom (Signature Active Ability)
  • ⬆️ Poison Mana Regen Scaling: 1 per 8 mana regen → 1 per 5 mana regen
  • Zuri
  • Notes: The Cruel likely needs some additional changes long-term, but after previous changes is starting to perform adequately in Act 2, and is quite strong in Endless. Making a slight adjustment here to help out her Act 1 to warrant stacking her signature passive ability with this specialization a bit earlier.
  • The Cruel (Active Ability)
  • ⬆️ Base Damage: 200 → 275

Enemies

  • Mushroom Tank (Endless)
  • Notes: The Mushroom floors (particularly 9, 12, and 15) have been ending runs quite a bit more frequently than the other fights in Endless. We’ll keep an eye out here but going to make an adjustment to the Mushroom Tank’s defense for now to make them not so much of a blocker for compositions with little backline damage.
  • ⬇️ Defense significantly reduced
