300K Players and a new Update!

Hey there Frog Sqwad šŸø,

Thank you so much for 300,000 of you who have played Frog Sqwad!!

The team have been hard at work reading feedback, locking in new fixes, bringing the updates to other platforms and getting stuck in to the world cup! āš½ Now it's time for a new update!

Bug fixes and updates in this build:

  • Save games
  • Further camera improvements
  • Camera motion effects setting (to help with motion sickness)
  • Football is coming home for someone this year. Check out our new room! āš½
  • Unique spawn rooms for all 5 days

Save Games:

Weā€™ve added a save system! We wanted to give you a breakdown to see how it works in real time as you are playing:

  • You get one save slot per host
  • When hosting, you can load your save or start fresh
  • Starting a new run wonā€™t overwrite your save until you return to the swamp (win or lose)

A few important bits:

  • No saves in matchmaking
  • Only the host saves (clients donā€™t keep progress)
  • Daily Challenge & Custom Seeds donā€™t save (keeps things clean and consistent)

What about items and buffs? We donā€™t restore exact inventories (your squad might change), so instead everything gets converted into coins - items, buffs the lot!

Welcome to Frog Cup! The World Cup is here and with it is our football themed room! Hop in now and find it in the sewers!

Whatā€™s coming next:

WE HEARD YOU! CROSSPLAY IS COMING!!! Updates will slow down a little bit while we get this working - but once it's done - Xbox and Steam versions of the game will stay in-sync and be able to play TOGETHER!!!

We also want to bring you more content like rooms, items, and hats. Weā€™re actively working on these and will share another dev blog next week with an update on our progress.
