1.0 Update Preview & Public Localization Test Branch!

Dear Scavengers,

Only 10 days left before Doloc Town finally made its way to 1.0! As the update draws near, we’re bringing you more Version 1.0 reveals right now!

Are you eager to explore new regions in the full release and experience the complete storyline? Or do you want to keep honing your farming skill and enjoy laid-back cozy town life? Whichever playstyle you prefer, the upcoming full version will deliver brand-new fun and experiences for you~

Brand New Map - Old City Ruins

Veteran scavengers have most likely thoroughly explored the River Valley and Wetlands during the Early Access phase. In the full release on August 6th, we’re introducing our third large map area: the Old City Ruins, with new resources, foes, and mysterious companions awaits!

Once glorious, the Old City is split into distinct zones, including the Industrial District, Residential District, Commercial Zone, elevated roadways, Central Park etc. Seven unique enemy types lurk within these desolate urban ruins. Don’t forget to upgrade your drone before setting off on this brand new adventure!

While exploring the Old City, you will encounter two brand-new NPCs. They will offer vital clues and assistance along your journey.

After scavengers enter the Industrial District and successfully activate the generator, you may use conveyor belts to travel between industrial areas and reach previously inaccessible locations.

Watch out for Traffic Light when speeding along the Old City overpasses! You may cross freely when the light is green, but they won’t hold back if you jaywalk during a red light.

*(Even when the world is falling apart, traffic rules still needs to be followed!)*

New Feature - Farming Automation

If you want to learn all sorts of skills in town, the townsfolk each hold unique expertise! Remember Kasia’s planting tutorials and Lank’s scavenging wisdom? This time, Mechanic Mody and Gunsmith Cod will also show off their capabilities. In Version 1.0, these two will help scavengers upgrade and modify drones, kicking off your journey toward farm automation.

Patch notes image

As a core late-game farming mechanic, once scavengers unlock the Automation node on the tech tree, Mody will guide drone automation research through roughly two phases:

Basic - Obtain Basic Agricultural Drone & Indoor Mini Hub

At this stage, you gain simple, single-purpose agricultural drones. They can sow seeds, water crops, fertilize fields and lay mulch in your assigned order, automatically fetching required supplies from different crates. Paired with the mini hub, you will be able to automate the entire indoor planting and crop care workflow.

But agricultural automation alone isn’t enough - your farm has plenty of machinery and livestock to tend to!

Advanced - Unlock the Large-Scale Drone Hub with Expanded Functions

At this stage, you can carefully plan and deploy multiple drones with different roles to handle automated tasks. Drone operating range expands to both indoor and outdoor spaces, even allowing them to travel freely between separate buildings.

There is a wide variety of drones available. Beyond basic planting, fertilizing and harvesting, they can manage refilling, processing and transportation. Drones will take care of livestock rearing, recipe crafting, item sorting and storage, freeing up your hands and letting you achieve the dream of reaping abundant harvests effortlessly.

New Device - Walkman

Remember the mug from tavern keeper Zenis? In Version 1.0, her reward gets a major upgrade - a pre-war vintage relic, the walkman! Pop the complimentary cassette she gives you inside, and you can bring the tavern’s music along on your adventures, enjoying that laid-back tavern vibe anywhere you go.

Patch notes image

*(Don’t worry. Players who have already finished her quest will also receive a mysterious letter from Zenis!)*

You’ll have to seek out more cassettes by exploring every corner. Rummage through crates, browse shops, and even try your luck fishing! Keep an eye on hidden corners; you might stumble upon some lovely surprises.

The walkman lets scavengers freely add and rearrange discovered tracks in the playlist. It supports sequential, shuffle and single-track loop playback - build your very own custom playlist!

Kick off your lovely mornings in Doloc Town with your favorite tunes! Tend crops and water plants peacefully, wander into town for some shopping, and complete requests from the townsfolk. With music accompanying your soothing journey all day long, you’ll surely be brimming with motivation.

Doloc Town Version 1.0 will add beta language support for Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, German and French, thanks to community-driven player localization efforts!

We previously launched a localization test branch open for all players to try out and share feedback. Since then, the team has received plenty of community input on translations, and we cannot thank players enough for this overwhelming support!

Starting today, we are taking the next step forward: the test branch access code has been removed, so all players can join the localization playtest without entering any code.
