Performance Takes Center Lane: Smoother Alleys and Smarter Party Rooms
Hi everyone!
This update focuses on making Bowling Alley Simulator run more smoothly, especially in large alleys filled with customers and employees. We’ve also improved party-room behavior, reworked the Free Labor skill, and fixed several interface issues.
Major Performance Improvements
- Optimized customers, employees, pro bowlers and other characters.
- Improved performance when large crowds are visible.
- Improved how the game handles rooms and buildings outside your view.
- Reduced unnecessary rendering inside the bank and casino.
Private Party Rooms
Party rooms now behave more like private event spaces:
- Regular customers will no longer enter party rooms to use entertainment or vending machines.
- Party guests can enjoy in-room entertainment before their first bowling game.
- Party-only lane reservations clear after the group finishes, allowing regular customers to use the lane afterward.
- Improved party guest movement and entertainment choices.
- Fixed customers overlapping on dance floors.
Free Labor Reworked
The Free Labor skill now makes every employee perform at maximum skill without skipping their work animations.
Employees remain free and highly efficient, but cleaning, cooking and register tasks now look and behave more naturally.
Quality-of-Life Improvements
- Shops now display newly unlocked items correctly after leveling up.
- Purchase buttons update immediately when your cash balance changes.
- Improved text entry for signs, save names, business names and prices.
- Customers are more likely to use a variety of arcade games rather than the same ones.
- Employees and customers are less likely to walk toward unreachable locations.
- Cooks no longer interrupt hot dogs another employee is already preparing.
- Added further fixes for entertainment, storage, deliveries and lane reservations.
- Fixed lanes 13/14 displaying out of order.
- Fixed a bug that caused customers to get stuck walking around row seating.
Thank you to everyone who has sent us performance reports and feedback. We hope this update makes your busiest nights at the alley feel noticeably smoother.
